COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A libertine is someone living free of society’s restraints. Similarly, The Libertine doesn’t constrain itself with preconceived notions of what a beer style should be. Loaded with malts that include the UK’s premium Maris Otter and Caramel 60, and topped off with Rye to impart a distinct reddish hue, the Libertine is a malt-dominated red ale like none you’ve ever had before. It boasts a rich, indulgent body without being overly sweet. Conventional classifications fail The Libertine, but who really wants to play by the rules anyway?

750ml bottle from khoffman43. Pours ruby red with minimal head. Nose is muted with toffee and caramel. Taste starts with bits of citrus, mid stream toffee enters stage left and continues to the quick finish. Body is a bit thin.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, dark red pour with slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, dark red fruits, some slight toffee, earth, hints of a spicy hop, touch of grain, pretty much your standard red. Taste is similar with some caramel, toffee, nice red fruits, finishing fairly sweet, slightly spicy, and slightly bitter. Not very memorable.

Bottle. Pours a dark red with. Aroma is a malt and grain blend. Flavor is nice with the booze shining through. Much better than I expected.

Autumnal brown with small white head. Aroma is dominated by red fruity esters. Really eatery. Red fruit, a bit tart, a bit of malt. Really odd beer.

My favorite Fulton beer. I love these unique fusion brews. Had from bottle and tap at brewery. Prefer the tap. Intense flavors with the great red coloring.

Pours a reddish-yellow/orange with smallish head. Aroma is dominated by malt and grain. Flavor is malty, a bit sweet (though not too much), with a rather unpleasant aftertaste, almost like paper or cardboard. There’s a "boozy" undercurrent to the flavor as well. It’s interesting, but not something I’d want to buy another bottle of.

amber pour with a medium almost tan head. aroma is toasted malt. Fairly one note but not unpleasant. Flavour is sour-ish graininess combined with toasted malts, somewhat bready rye finish.

On tap at Muffuleta's - boy is this nice. Dark ruby pour with a light white head. Malty nose, a heavy red ale that coats your mouth with a nice balance of malt and hops. Really nice! If this was $6 in the stores I would be buying a ton of it!!

Stopped in to my favorite store south of the river, (Hops & Vines) they are having a beer tasting event tonight. 750 ml bottle color light red/golden. Sweetness in the nose. Softly carbonated. Alcohol prevalent. Caramel notes with a hint of molasses. Noticeable pepper in the finish. Good beer, probably their best to date.
