UPDATED: APR 20, 2012 Pours deep amber, thin head. Sweet and malty with a full body, very well balanced, with a pleasant sour taste. Very good! DasBierChef (1083) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Sampled this at The Dabbler yesterday. A very pleasant beer and surprisingly easy drinking for an imperial red. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Draft at Fulton Taphouse near Target Field in Minneapolis. Sweetness in the nose. Softly carbonated. Higher alcohol prevalent. Caramel notes with a hint of molasses. A little harshness/pepper in the finish. Nice beer, probably their best to date. bhensonb (15242) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Capped 750 from Guerde. What trading is all about! Thanks Andy! Pours almost cherry red with a slight beige head. Aroma is heavy malt - sort of like a rye wee heavy? Full bodied. Boy it is malty. There’s some roast malt, something a little nutty perhaps, and there are rye spice notes. It doesn’t finish exactly dry, but it is pretty close considering how malty it starts. ABR 2010. I liked this. Tons of malt aroma and grainy, malt flavor on the palate with bread. Just a light hint of roast. The rye gives a very light sourness. Red/brown color.

Tasted this at it’s release party in minneapolis. Thought it was a tasty Red Ale, well balanced and unique, and smoother that the ABV would indicate. surely worth a try. Bacterial (2999) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - NOV 5, 2012
On tap at Muffuleta's - boy is this nice. Dark ruby pour with a light white head. Malty nose, a heavy red ale that coats your mouth with a nice balance of malt and hops. Really nice! If this was $6 in the stores I would be buying a ton of it!! DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Bottle. Dark amber pour, very light carbonation and an aroma of spicy rye and caramel. Flavor is also some spicy caramel, hints of medicinal raisins and dry & a little warming on the finish. At $10 bottle, I’ll probably only pick this one up once; but good nonetheless. DoublEE (782) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Sweet malt with a rye spice in the background. I’m getting some dark fruit and hop bitterness in the finish. This is really smooth beer.

Minnesota Trip Beer #92. Keg at the brewery, 5/9/16. Clear dark red, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, citrus, bits of coffee. The taste is caramel, toffee, Twizzler candy. Medium bodied.
