Very roasty and malty with strong coffee and chocolate aroma. Dark pour but no head, and hardly any lacing. Pleasant palate and boozy finish. Very good but russian imperial stout competition is stiff.

12oz bottle courtesy of Hoff! Pours out a dark brown/almost black color with a small creamy tan head of foam. Aroma of dark chocolate, burnt espresso, black malts, burnt sugar, and hints of vanilla. Taste of black charred malts, burnt day old coffee, sweet caramel, burnt sugar, earth, hints of licorice, and vanilla extract in the finish. At first was too charred and burnt in the flavor, but digging it the more I drink it and it warms up. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 18, 2016
Pours an opaque dark brown with khaki colored head. Coffee, roasted malt, and some dark chocolate notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied and thick. Finishes with coffee and roast. Nicely done. weihenweizen (3751) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - FEB 11, 2016
Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a snifter. Black with small brown highlights and small beige. Aroma is nice coffee, medium body, low carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is coffee and dark malt. bytemesis (8236) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 1, 2016
Bottle. Pours opaque black, medium creamy tan head, dissipates leaving nice residual and lacing. Aroma is super roasty, mocha, cold press coffee, cocoa, hint of green pepper. Flavor is light plus sweet,, medium plus bitter, lots of coffee and roast, light green pepper not really a major distraction though. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. A hint of heat.

Bottle courtesy of Aunt MP via rare beer club. Pours a deep brown body with thin lace. Nose is sweet chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is full bodied with notes of light roast, sugar, lactose, hops and chocolate. mrjaxson (574) - .08 Junction, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2015
Extremely subtle aroma hinting of chocolate and almost flat, headless pour gives the impression that it’s a lackluster imperial stout . Quite fortunately, wave upon wave of flavors and sweetness of varying intensities greatly enliven the brew once poured into your mouth. Very satisfying when enjoyed on draft. 750 ml bottle from Rays in Tosa. Cellared 3 months and ironically shared with the big boys. Very dark brown pour with a beige head. Aroma has coffee, chocolate, sweet malts, some lactose. Taste is of sweet chocolate, caramel, light lactose, some roastiness, a bit rough and quite sweet. Medium to full bodied with some alcohol presence. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet. Nice one 14.9

Pours with little to no head, dark chocolate color. I did not experience much of the coffee aroma or flavor as I had expected, but overall this is a very enjoyable beer. There is definitely a roasty quality to this beer, however as mentioned, I felt like there could have been a better focus on the coffee notes, but a solid beer all around! douglas88 (9057) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 2, 2015
750 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a large brown head. A big sweet milky coffee nose. Very sweet, lactose, huge milky coffee, some dark fruit. Vanilla. Solid.
