This beer is something special. Pours the most beautiful shade of purple that I’ve ever seen in a beer. As rich as the color is, you’d expect it to be overly fruited, or one dimensional, but it’s not. It’s so complex. The way the fruit highlights the funk instead of masking it is amazing. The juiciest of raspberries and that house funk we have all began to crave. If there is one funk factory beer to seek out, I vote it’s this. Do yourself a favor and get one! This is the best fruited lambic I’ve ever had. Perfectly bright pink/red color and the aroma was extremely satisfying. You can taste the raspberries immediately and it finishes with a subtle dryness. Highly recommend! Thanks for sharing Kraig Jordan! kkleu357 (634) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 15, 2015
Love the color. Nice purple red body. Tons of funky berry aroma. Got to love that barnyard aroma. Taste is lots of funk with tons of raspberry flavor. seeswo (13) - Ohio, USA - JAN 24, 2016
This is easily a top AWA from 2015. Think NG VSB with funk. One of the few closest beers to the other side of the pond produced in the US that I have had. CobiiWI (2) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 14, 2016 does not count
Shout #notalambic all you want, this is another close to perfect attempt by Levi at the lambic style, and is better than most lambics from Belgium aside from the obvious heavy hitters. I’d say "trade for it" , but good luck getting us WI people to let go of a bottle from an already low bottle count and allotment.
Aroma is rich with deep jammy raspberry, which overpowers the funk you’d usually get with a plain lambic. Makes you want to stick your nose in the glass for a few seconds before every taste
Appearance - A beautiful beer. Somewhere between fuchsia and the deep purple of the raspberries. Surprising head retention for the style, wtih some of the color bleeding into the head as well with a good pour.
Taste - Close to perfect as the aroma and appearance, but a little less jammy raspberry flavor (marginally) than the aroma lets on. Rich fruit flavor still takes over in a tart and funky raspberry way as expected, without being overly acidic.
Palate - clean and refreshing. A little on the dry side. light to medium body, with average to soft carbonation.

After sitting down with a few of their bottles, I’m blown away by what these guys are doing. Full fruit flavor on a bed of funk with a nice dry finish. Truly an outstanding beer that could compete with the best Belgian versions. Mark000 (1) - - FEB 8, 2016 does not count
This stood out among many great Funk Factory and other beers throughout the evening. I really enjoy the balance. There are way too many AWAs that are all about the pucker factor. This isn’t one of them. Well done! markextrae (4460) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2015
bottle shared at our big bottle share tasting. gusher alert!! poured a beautiful deep dark purple colour with a nice pink coloured head on top. the aroma is bursting! lot’s of thick dark raspberries, jammy thick raspberries, barnyard funk, wheat, but mostly thick juicy raspberrie fruit upfront. followed by a slight tart funk kick to it!. taste has a lot of sweet raspberries upfront, wheat and slight grains, leading to a very bright acid sourness. what a beautiful beer! incredible stuff! this has the be one of the best "lambic" fruited styles from the states! incredible! love to try more of their stuff! lovely djd07 (15341) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2015
Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a hazy purple with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong funk, oak, berries. Thick mouth, jammy berries, nice funk, light tartness, really enjoyed this. jtclockwork (17070) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 5, 2016
