DATE: August 6, 2017... OCCASION: a beautiful day, about to get ruined by Game of Thrones drama... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek Pint...pours a murky, thick, orange amber body that nonetheless has detectable effervescence when scrutinized... the head piles two fingers’ worth of soapy, craggy white head that creates bubbly arcs of arcing... head holds steady for a resilient lapse of time... grapefruit, a spicy pepper, orange peel, sweet caramel and bread dough that balances ts expectation... pine hops pique the nostrils as well... a mellow draw, active and accommodating at its start... smooth, lively, with the strength of orange, pine, grapefruit, and a balanced caramel--a complexity that packs quite a pop for a pale ale... purchased as part of a surprise mix twelve, this one was worth waiting for--a clean, delicious, engaging beer that’s bigger than its body but not overstating any of its main elements.... I will seek other Funk beers, based on this one, for sure... gripweed57 (3097) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 16, 2017

This is a great juicy pale ale. Nice lasting head. Flavor is lasting. Perfection for a pale ale. For abv is very nice mouthfeel. Cloudy like a north eastern IPA. Sweet citrus. Nice!

very strong juicy citrus, tropical fruit, and pine hop aromas. gold and hazy in color with decent head. taste is lightly juicy up front, transitions to grapefruit, tangerine, pine, and faint tropical fruits. although classified as a APA, this beer has all the makings of a NE IPA, great pale ale BroadestTom (457) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2017
Aroma citrus, pineapple, spruce,
Appearance orange, hazy, white foam,
Taste light sweetness, lightly bitter,
Palate light body,
Overall the aroma is better than the taste to me. A light thin beer that would be nice on a warm summer day. I would suggest this beer to a friend. italianjohn (3369) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2017
