COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the Trappist breweries of Belgium this Belgian Style Quadruple is the base beer that we are currently aging in Oak Bourbon barrels. A malt forward but yet fruity aroma smoothly transitions into caramel and dark fruit showcasing the versatility of our house yeast strain. A well-balanced finish makes this strong but quaffable beer the perfect way to end a long day

Tap. Cloudy orange amber with thin amber head. Aromas of orange, Bourbon, malt, spice and caramel. Flavor is the same, sweet and orange. Medium to full bodied.

Burnt orange in color with a small head...thinner than expected for the style. Aromas of cherry, vanilla, oak, bourbon. Strong sipper that coats going down. Flavors are a bit rough around the edges but otherwise pretty good. The flavor profile is good overall.

Pours a hazy golden brown from the bomber worth minimal head or lace. Aroma and taste are oxidized heavily, burnt orange, burnt malt, decent but old.

Bottle at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with thick frothy beige head that lasts. The aroma is funk, yeast, wood. Medium body, spice, bourbon, wood, funk, yeast, nice sweetness, very nice.

Bottle. Tarnished copper in hue and murky -- opaque in the middle giving up golden highlights at the edges. A thin, silky tan head. Buttery, oaky nose: cooking butter, sweet cherry, brandy, a splash of vanilla, toffee. Sweet, rich and complex, the nose goes back and forth between barrel- forward and fruit-forward. The flavor is an earth, alcohol, dark fruit blend. Woody, with smooth vanilla and a touch of grass up front. The swallow delivers plum, fig and cherry. A bit boozy.Fairly thick, medium-full body. Alcohol is a beefcake, bringing numbness and heat in the nose. I like that I can really taste the bourbon, which is missing from many BA quads. Oak, spirit and fruity beer notes blend wonderfully. Turn down the heat and we have a winner.

Looks like muddy water. Smells of dark fruits like raisins and prunes. Very strong alcohol smell. Upfront raisens and prunes dominant the taste. After that you get hit with a strong taste of bourbon. Has a lingering alcohol aftertaste.

Tap @ Funkwerks. Hazy medium amber, thin beige head. Oaky, spicy aroma, ripe fruits, vanilla, bananana, toffee, caramel. Semi-sweet, full bodied, mid bitterness, balanced CO2. Oaky, fruity taste, caramel, vanilla, toffee, tannins. Slightly cloying, but quite nice. (2014-04-06)

The bourbon barrel aging comes through in the vanilla, but the star of the show is the deep malty base in this viscous beer. Picked up the bottle on a trip through Ft. Collins in 2013.

Bottle at Birch & Barley. Clear golden ruby color. Aroma of rich vanilla and butterscotch. Taste is dry chocolate covered caramel and vanilla. Very nice.

Bottle from SirADNielsen, thanks Aaron! Pours a cloudy brownish orange color with minimal head. Bourbon, vanilla, slight fruity aromas. Solid, but not spectacular barrel aged beer.

On tap. Cloudy amber orange pour with small off white head. Aroma of oranges, apricots, caramel, vanilla and bourbon. Taste of dark fruits, caramel, vanilla, oak and bourbon. Full bodied, lower carbonation, long bourbon finish.
