Surprisingly so good and drinkable. Big carbonation, but very god tart cherry taste. Saison yeast is secondary. Great drinkability.

Bottle at home shared with my dad. Pour is murky brown with a frothy brown head and great lacing. Big roasted cherry aroma, pepper, straw, a bit nutty, strawberry and honey. Taste is peppery, fruity, bready, somewhat tart, tangy, and yeasty with a lightly spicy finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Somewhat medicinal, tangy, and toasty saison. (750ml bottle) cloudy deep copper, huge tan head. Nose of corn, candied fruit, cherry cough drops, funky too. Taste of cherry syrup, corn, alcohol, real cherry fruit, unique for sure, spicy.

750ml Bottle. The pour was a murky mahogany brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown fizzy head that was mostly diminishing, down to a thin film and large collar which lasted throughout and produced superb sheeting of lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt and a funky Brett yeast with notes of cherries, coriander, chocolate and a mild sourness.
The taste was sweetly tart with notes of cherry and a touch chocolate throughout, with the finish having a nice tart spiciness and a slight alcohol tinge. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow with a tart fruity taste lingering on for a short while longer.
Mouthfeel was between light and medium in body and dry in texture with a champagne like carbonation.
Overall I found this brew to be quite fruity and refreshing, with a subtle sourness and an awesome drinkability, which allowed for the high ABV to be “almost” virtually undetectable. This is one to watch out for, it goes down way to easy for such a high ABV. Just sayin’…

Sample at Falling Rock Beer Tasting with Dr. Bill on 10/13/2012. This brew pours a cloudy reddish-brown color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries and bready malt. Medium body with a mildly sour cherry character and flavors of yeast and grainy malt. Crushed with Honkeybra. 750 mL bottle pours an opaque reddish brown with a huge, fizzy head. Tart, kinda funky, cherries on the nose. Dark cherries in the flavor masks a lot of the funk, but it’s still tasty as hell. Tongue-tickling carbonation.
