COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Style: Imperial Saison Ale Brewed with Mango

Since its first recipe defiant brew, our favorite happy accident Tropic King has become a staple to our beer portfolio. In this seasonal rendition we’ve added mango puree to enhance the juicy tropical fruit flavors from the Rakau hops.

Notes of passion fruit, mango, pepper and ginger… and more mango.

I’m a little disappointed here. What I thought was going to be like mango in a Roma is more like banana and in general is kind of like a hefe weizen. I do pick up slight hints of mango in flavor but more of a Bavarian wheat beer with yeast. Body is good and nice finish. Good drinking beer overall but not much to do with mangle.

12 oz single bottle from Ski Haus Liquors in Steamboat Springs, CO. Hazy orange appearance with a diminishing white head. Aroma of yeast, herbs, spices, floral notes, light fruity esters, light citrus zest and a touch of mango/tropical fruitiness. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness and mild bitterness with a dry finish. A little intense.

Tap at Titans. Cloudy orange-golden color with lace. Lovely mango nose, funky, malty. Bit of spicy yeast nose. Rich and malty flavor with grapefruit and mango, sweet. A bit heavy for a saison but very nice flavors and good use of mango.

Big ol’ head from a fairly light-handed bottle pour. Mango, wheat and a Belgian yeast vibe.

Bottle - turbid light orange - nose of sweet mango, pepper, light funkiness, pineapple, herbs - flavor is moderately spicy, moderately acidic, medium bitter - sweet mango is balanced by peppery phenolics and moderate acidity - finishing bitterness clashes a bit - a bit brash and rough around the edges, but enjoyable enough.

Fleshy pulpy mango fruit on the tongue. Not sweet. More the meat of the fruit flavor. Nose has a light funkiness in a leathery soft way. Very impressive head that never goes away. Some tartness on the tongue and fuzziness. Nicely done.

Full pour at the Pho festival bar .. . Hazy amber, great foam .. Mild fruit, mango, yeast, clean socks, hay .. Medium feel, not much of a finish .. Decent brew .. . .

You look like an over inflated cartoon detective

Hazy deep golden under a thick foamy white head. Big aroma of fuzzy wheaty mango and bright estery Belgian phenols. Beautiful fluffy wheat and soft mango flavors, tasty fruity Belgian saison esters, and a smooth fluffy fruity finish. Quite nice.

On tap at Hughies. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, wheat, mango, lemon. Medium body, mango, clove, yeast, light dry finish, good.
