Hazy straw color with a large head. Aroma the of pinot gris and gooseberries. Tart, fruity flavor, very much like a pinot grigio. Berries and citrus. Light wheat. Effervescent. drjay44 (3740) - Salida, Colorado, USA - DEC 24, 2016
Pours a medium gradually collapsing white head over a cloudy yellow (SRM 3) body.......nose is grape, lemon light vinous notes, mild malts, balance to the hops.......taste is mild lemon, vinous tones, slight malts, finishing with mild herbal hop bitterness, balance to the hops......mouth feel, medium body, mild alcohol, moderate carbonation with slight acid. The Nelson Sauvin dominates the malts and light yeast contributions. There are some hints of a Sauvignon Blanc wine from the hop. This is a nice beer, but not a particularly stylistically correct Saison. BJCP 7/3/14/4/6 kevinator (2268) - The Colony, Texas, USA - DEC 12, 2016
Doesn’t disappoint. Nice grape and hope nose. Light colored with a small head. Light palate and well carbonated. Flavors of spicy hops, fruit and some yeast. JK (6201) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - NOV 4, 2016
Tap at Grizzly’s. LIght yellow, like a wit. I was expecting it to be a little sour. Instead, it is a soft, effervescent saison. Under ripe pear, aome tangerine, and melon. Peach with a bigger sip. Very nice palate. Good. vikingguy (1106) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - OCT 29, 2016
Very pale yellow, cloudy and white fizzy head. Lemon herbal aroma. Taste - slightly tart lemon, Belgian yeasty funk, light herbal hops that have just a hint of fruit and pine. Wheaty malt base. This is an interesting twist on a standard saison.

Bottle. Pours pale lemon gold with a fluffy white head that fades to a lasting foamy film and collar. Aroma is tart lemon apple funk yeast some hay grass. Taste is a blend of tart bitter funk with lemon sour apple light malt yeast and a little tropical floating around. Palate is thin with great carbonation and finishes dry. Really nice! tennisjoel (1465) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - OCT 17, 2016
Attractive beer. Hazy gold body with long lasting creamy white head. Excellent aroma of tart lemon, cracker, distinctive Nelson Saugvin hops, grass, barnyard funk. Flavor is drier than many in the style. Not as enamored with flavor, though still quite drinkable. I am getting a cucumber off flavor and tastes a bit artificial. degbert (1774) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 29, 2016
Bottle. Pours a very pale yellow (a slight hint of green) with a copious amount of white, mixed-grained, blown-insulation head. Nose is somewhat muted by the head, but is white grape, barnyard, dusty haymow, and a little cardamom. Sweet up front, with a white wine acidity; there’s a saccharine undertone to the sweetness that I find a little unpleasant. Saison phenols predominate the back of the palate. Not much bitterness from the hops. Seems a little flat. Honestly, I don’t particularly get this style of sweet, weak, saison; if I’m going to drink farmyard ale, I want something that gives me the strength to go plow a field. Meh. Frothy white head. Hazy pale golden color. Dry lemony hoppy nose with a fair amount of funk. The Nelson hop isn’t so prominent until the finish and then tropical fruit lingers. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 1, 2016
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Pale blond color, hazy. Powerful nelson Sauvin aroma, moderately spicy flavor, lean body, blends will with a touch of Muscat grapes.
