COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtlety sweet and tart finish. Notes of lemon zest and tart raspberries.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Hazy pink-red color. The raspberry is evident, the acidity is mild, it's a bit wheaty.
Pleasant.

Pale pink with a bit of haze. Pretty basic raspberry nose. Tart, thin...there's some berry in here but the base beer offers little. Disappointing, as others in this series have been really good.

On tap at St. Augustine's during 54 taps Beerthirst event. Pours a hazy rose-ish with white head. Aroma is loads of fresh raspberry, very pleasant. Taste is tart with lots of raspberry notes. Good one.

11.2 oz bottle from the Hwy 2 road trip. Aroma is lacto, raspberry, seeds and all. Pours hazy pink with a dissipating pinkish-white head. Taste is sour (7/10) and packed full of raspberry flavor, seeds and all. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, but that's okay. Tasty and refreshing.

starting to try this style; inspired by my stop at the brewery earlier this summer. bottle to glass. aroma - raspberries, fruit, light funk. taste - nice tartness up front but mellows/balances quickly - ends smoothly with light hops. I enjoyed and could easily drink this in the summer heat. niiiiice.

330ml bottle. 1/31/17 bottle date. Appearance: Watermelon red, clear, with an aggressive frothy pink head. Aroma: Sugary raspberry purée, some floral notes, with a light vinegar acidity. Taste: Sweet raspberry dominates, with a light breadiness, and a moderately strong lactic acidity that kicks in on the back end to balance it out. Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a very high carbonation. Finish: Lingering tart raspberry and lactic acid Overall: A nicely balanced fruited sour that manages the aggressive raspberry sweetness against the sour base. Crisp and refreshing, but is fairly simple in complexity

On tap at Farmhouse Fest, pours an opaque cloudy bright pink with a small white head. Aroma brings bright raspberries, some lovely funk and light wild yeast. Flavour is very bright, with lots of pithy raspberries, wild yeast, and moderate funk. Wonderful interplay of moderate funk and fresh raspberries. Excellent.

Visual: Hefty bottle, bottled on 2016.01.20. Pours blush pink with a massive foamy head, super clustered hyper active champagne streams. Visually stunning.

Nose: funky sour acidity, pukey red wine fruity. (lvl-7)-pungency

Attack: fizzy, immediate sour-big tartness crisp

Mid-palate: puckery hit, tart gums, raspberry malt, (lvl-3-sweetness), pukey overtone acidity

Finish: residual tanginess, slight lemony exhale

Summary: Its extremely appetite inducing sour-tartness means that a sip this begs to be paired with some food. Full textured, light medium-bodied, decent flavour but not terribly aromatic in the raspberry department. Huge puckery pukey sourness if you’re into it, one try is good enough for me.
