This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtlety sweet and tart finish. Notes of lemon zest and tart raspberries.

Tap. Hazy raspberry win a thin pink white head that laces. Aromas of raspberry, tart fruit and some earthy notes. Flavor is the same with a dry finish. Light bodied.

330ml bottle. 1/31/17 bottle date. Appearance: Watermelon red, clear, with an aggressive frothy pink head. Aroma: Sugary raspberry purée, some floral notes, with a light vinegar acidity. Taste: Sweet raspberry dominates, with a light breadiness, and a moderately strong lactic acidity that kicks in on the back end to balance it out. Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a very high carbonation. Finish: Lingering tart raspberry and lactic acid Overall: A nicely balanced fruited sour that manages the aggressive raspberry sweetness against the sour base. Crisp and refreshing, but is fairly simple in complexity

On tap at Farmhouse Fest, pours an opaque cloudy bright pink with a small white head. Aroma brings bright raspberries, some lovely funk and light wild yeast. Flavour is very bright, with lots of pithy raspberries, wild yeast, and moderate funk. Wonderful interplay of moderate funk and fresh raspberries. Excellent.

Tap; pours pink with a light pink head; aroma of tart raspberries with some wheat notes; taste is tart raspberries with some hints of wheat; dry, tart raspberry finish

Visual: Hefty bottle, bottled on 2016.01.20. Pours blush pink with a massive foamy head, super clustered hyper active champagne streams. Visually stunning.

Nose: funky sour acidity, pukey red wine fruity. (lvl-7)-pungency

Attack: fizzy, immediate sour-big tartness crisp

Mid-palate: puckery hit, tart gums, raspberry malt, (lvl-3-sweetness), pukey overtone acidity

Finish: residual tanginess, slight lemony exhale

Summary: Its extremely appetite inducing sour-tartness means that a sip this begs to be paired with some food. Full textured, light medium-bodied, decent flavour but not terribly aromatic in the raspberry department. Huge puckery pukey sourness if you’re into it, one try is good enough for me.

Flight at the source during ck1 birthday trip. Raspberry is subtle. Some graininess. Disappointing, unfortunately. 12.7

Pink with a cotton candy head. Raspberry, lightly tart, hint of acidity and more raspberry on nose. Smooth palate, sour raspberry, light wood?, touch of lemon and a crisp finish.

luttonm (6270) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 3, 2017
Reuben’s, Seattle. Guest tap. Very bright pink juice appearance, more like fruit punch. Light white foam ring. Raspberry tart sip, with a creamy note just underneath. Raspberry tartness is prominent but not the only thing here, body wise. Light peppery spice, clean relatively light finish. Fizzy carbonation. Fair.

Quick3Beers (1229) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 31, 2017
Pours a nice rose from a bottle, good fresh raspberry aroma. A little tart, but very thin and one-dimensional, kind of a let down. Meh.

Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 29, 2017
Keg at Toppling Goliath. Hazy pink, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pepper, funk, dry berries. Taste is tart berries, pepper, funk. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness.

Haslinger (929) - The World of Beer, Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2017
Beer looks like Rosé wine being poured outta RickRosses pimp chalice, hoooly shit is this one good, tart but sweet finish with some nice fruit hanging in the nose. Definitely would and have drunk this one again
