Hazy pink. Thin head. Has light hibiscus nose. Has a light hibiscus character, kind of yeasty, low bitterness. Actually doesn’t compel. mcberko (18422) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 27, 2016
On tap at St Augustine’s, pours a cloudy ruby red with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of hibiscus upfront, followed by raspberries and light Belgian yeast. Flavour is big on the hibiscus upfront, followed by raspberries, Belgian yeast and lemongrass. Unusual blend of flavours that works pretty well. Solid. On tap at St. Augustines on Rare Beer Tap Takeover. Aroma is sweety-sour, hibiscus. Same taste, which is more intense, than aroma, with some spices. Good. wlajwl (6942) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 9, 2016
Aroma is strong spices, Belgian yeast and slight flowers. The flavor is spices, Belgian yeast, slight flowers, malts and a mix of slight sour/tart and earthy in the finish. drjay44 (3769) - Salida, Colorado, USA - MAY 5, 2016
750 ml bottle. Bottled March 31st 2016. 7% ABV per the label. Pours a thick, gradually reducing, pinkish white head, with some lacing, over a hazy pink amber (SRM 13) body........nose is floral hibiscus, ginger, light malts, minimal hops......taste is slightly sweet with heavy hibiscus tones, light ginger, finishing with hints of hop bitterness, and light pepper......mouth feel, sticky, light of medium body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation with nice acid notes. This is a very floral, soft, pleasant beer to drink. It is a bit muddled in flavors, as the hibiscus and spice do bang together. Additionally, rating it as a Saison, it misses the style quite badly and could use an almost total recipe rework. BJCP 5/2/10/4/5 ajnepple (6824) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 18, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Bright, light reddish appearance with a white head. The aroma is hibiscus, floral, earthy, herbal and yeasty. Similar flavor, adding light to mild spice and bitterness with light sweetness and some fruity berry notes. Medium body with a hint of tartness at the finish. Nice appearance, pretty decent saison overall. _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 20, 2013
