750 ml bottle poured into brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold with a big white head of foam. The aroma has big raisin and sweet oaky, boozy character. Bready and dark stonefruit. Plums and prunes. Mild spice. More spice in the finish. Nicely rounded Belgian Strong. Big body and medium carbonation. Velvety mouthfeel. Ratman197 (15364) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 6, 2017
On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of rum, bread, fruitiness and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, rum, fruitiness and light yeast with a smooth dry lingering fruity rum finish. kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - DEC 7, 2016
Rich gold color. Light, white head. Aroma is characteristic of a Belgian ale and the flavor has that Beldian candy sugar note but it’s not too sweet. The flavor has a balance with some bittering hops added in. Its very smooth, middle of the road in palate and has a nice beer aroma like a good pils almost. Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clearish pale yellow with a frothy, white head. The nose holds brett, citrus, dried pale malts. Big sweet flavour with notes of pale wood, ripening citrus fruits, more brett, some poo. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Good balance in the finish, moderately sweet, with further brett funk, melon, tangerine. Good depth. Nice and drinkable. onceblind (10573) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2016
Hazy golden under a thin sticky white rocky cap. Pleasant nose that’s sweet and rummy and a little oaked and a touch Belgian grainy. Full and interesting flavor that’s Saison-like with Belgian estery tree fruits but also grainy and woody and lightly rummy. Crisp and interesting.

On draft at Jester King. Pours hazy gold with a slight white head. Acetone, saison yeast, banana, plum, and can sugar nose. Creamy viscous mouthfeel. Very sweet low carb. Ferris (16519) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 17, 2015
Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Lots of funk and stone fruit with sweet rum notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Funky stone fruit, rum sweetness and a touch of booze. Not bad. jeremyh70 (1115) - Missouri, USA - MAY 8, 2015
Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head with good retention and decent lacing. Banana and clove aroma from the belgian yeast along with some light fruit and some oak. The rum is apparent in the taste and gives a candied quality to the fruit flavors. Also some nice oak flavor along with some spiciness and a little booze. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A good sipper with a nice level of complexity and flavor. PartyFowle (954) - - MAY 7, 2015
Bottle. Straw-colored, straw-hazed. Two big fingers of pure white froth. The nose has the usual notes of saison -- Belgian pear, red apple and white pepper -- but here they’re mixed with deeper, richer rum notes: oak, caramel, cane sugar. A very slight hint of vinegar, too. The flavor differs: more oak, bright pear and baked apple, with buttery oak and funky rum beneath. Booze is subtle -- just enough to add a wild twist. Soft, medium-light body; light, silky carbonation; tiny massaging bubbles. Alcohol is far too well-hidden; I’m drunk. Delicious and interesting. A good tweak on a solidly done classic. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Tasted on 2/7/14 from bottle at the Friday night tasting at RBWG Asheville, thanks to Aaron Nielsen for sharing. Pours cloudy pale yellow with an average white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is yeasty caramel with some spice, and vanilla rum underlying. The flavor is the same spicy yeast with a hint of caramel and vanilla rum. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long spicy yeast and rum finish.
