Solenna pairs the fruitiness of a traditional Belgian yeast strain with the subtle spicy character of Brettanomyces and the floral notes of German hops. Notes of candy apple, cinnamon, and fresh-cut grass give way to a dry finish and firm lingering bitterness.

Tap at Funkwerks - hazy amber pour - nose of cinnamon, pumpernickel, spicy hops, light toffee, very mild phenols - soft carbonation, full body - a little yeasty, so some of the flavors are a little muddled, but there are notes of dark bread, light esters, spicy hops, moderate basement, light cinnamon, mild fig - despite the.muddling yeast, I quite like this, even though there isnt a lot of the promised brett character - guess Im odd man out.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours amber/brown with a fluffy, beige head. Aroma of spicy yeast, caramel malts, a good amount of floral hoppiness, and a light Brett note. Flavor the same, with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

Deep orange with a thick head. There isnt as much funk as Id like but the barnyard aromas are pretty nice. A bunch of citrus. Jess picked this one up for me in Denver in 2013.

Bottle. Pours a hazy burnt copper with huge off-white head. Decent retention and some patchy lacing. Aroma is mildly hoppy, spicy, and fruity yeast. Flavor is fruity, peach, apricot, mildly citrus, piney hops, with a surprisingly sweet, mild malt finish. Did seem to get a bit better as it continued to warm. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and a slightly dry finish. A decent belgian, but the my least favorite of the handful of their beers Ive tried.

I was expecting more from this one. It is solid but lacked a sparkle and a dominant flavor. Light citrus and some vanilla in the back. Not even much funk to it.

On tap at FWIBF. Pours a darker orangy/brown with white head. Aroma is brett all the way. Dry mouth on the taste with some malt and coffee. Coffee toffee element here. Odd.
