Bottle at RBSG. Poured hazy orange with no noticeable head. Aroma had some citrus and spice. Taste was more of the above with some hidden fruit character. Palate was chalky dry. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Bomber. Slightly murky orange pour with a huge head. Soft citrus and yeast aroma. Under carbonated? Perhaps. Decent. crajun (1243) - , Texas, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Never know how to rate when you get a gusher. First 2 glasses very different from last and no clue what it was to be. High score for aroma malt toast some spice. Nice dark amber pour notalush (5878) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Tap at Funkwerks - hazy amber pour - nose of cinnamon, pumpernickel, spicy hops, light toffee, very mild phenols - soft carbonation, full body - a little yeasty, so some of the flavors are a little muddled, but there are notes of dark bread, light esters, spicy hops, moderate basement, light cinnamon, mild fig - despite the.muddling yeast, I quite like this, even though there isn’t a lot of the promised brett character - guess I’m odd man out. Bottle at the Funky 8 - Barcade, Brooklyn, NYC. Nice brett character in here, some spices, ripe fruits, moderate bitterness. Solid.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours amber/brown with a fluffy, beige head. Aroma of spicy yeast, caramel malts, a good amount of floral hoppiness, and a light Brett note. Flavor the same, with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer. ads135 (4607) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Deep orange with a thick head. There isn’t as much funk as I’d like but the barnyard aromas are pretty nice. A bunch of citrus. Jess picked this one up for me in Denver in 2013. Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy burnt copper with huge off-white head. Decent retention and some patchy lacing. Aroma is mildly hoppy, spicy, and fruity yeast. Flavor is fruity, peach, apricot, mildly citrus, piney hops, with a surprisingly sweet, mild malt finish. Did seem to get a bit better as it continued to warm. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and a slightly dry finish. A decent belgian, but the my least favorite of the handful of their beers I’ve tried. UPDATED: SEP 16, 2013 Bottle thanks to ratman. Pours with a medium hazy copper hued body with a large fluffy tan head that is well retentive. Aromas are strongly of raw ginger, massively grassy, spicy, cinnamon, fruity, lemongrass, mildly funky. Flavors are spicy and floral with a quick duration, ginger, dry, earthy, herbal. Assertively bitter. Lightly tart and fruity. Very dry with very lively carbonation. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - JUN 8, 2013
GABF week 2012 as Bastogne at the brewery. Pours with a hazed amber hued body with a large and retentive off-white head with great lace. Aromas are very, very phenolic, funky, honey, floral,b ready, spicy, nutty, light citrusy, chestnut and citrus rind. Flavors are of honey, floral, leathery, citrusy, grainy, medium phenolics, tangerine and marmalade. Lively carbonation and quite dry.
I was expecting more from this one. It is solid but lacked a sparkle and a dominant flavor. Light citrus and some vanilla in the back. Not even much funk to it.
