thegreenrooster (4749) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 4, 2018Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is funky yeast ester, banana and clove. Flavor is a super spice and pepper. A little too much for my liking. Finish is a bit hot with a decent yeast ester. This was a little too amped up for me to give this a better score. A bit too hot and peppery.

Clareeses (223) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 20, 2018UPDATED: JAN 20, 2018 On draft at craft beer cellar Clayton
Aroma 7 /10: bready yeasty aroma
Appearance 4 /5: clear golden amber with white frothy head
Palate 4 /5: full and robust mouthfeel with bubbly champagne like fizzy carbonation
Taste 8/10: classic Saison flavors, very heavy on the yeast, with bitter hops and faint pineapple esters
Overall 17/20: a solid Saison but I'm not as excited about it as I thought I would for some reason. The yeast is almost a little too strong up front, overpowering the more delicate fruit esters. It does bloom as it sits at room temp over time, though
Final: 4.0
balloonbuffoon (923) - - JAN 18, 2018UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 11.2floz bottle, BOD: 12.05.2017, $2 single, tulip glass. Appears a hazy dark gold with less than a finger or white head. Papaya, cantaloupe, and banana aromas are especially noticed, because they are atypical in such a beer. Texture is full-bodied in its heft, and carbonation is moderate.
Taste is an exercise in the three main components of beer besides water: yeast lends certain phenols that lightly touch on candy banana and mild melon fruits; hops provide some citrus zest and light bitterness, malts underlie everything with cereal grain and light-medium sweetness I consumeth easily.
Gerbeer (4354) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 16, 2017330 ml bottle. Pours a dull cloudy amber with moderate head. Aromas of brett, fuzzy peach and candied citrus. Flavors of dried tropical fruit, earthy Belgian yeast and esters, and cottony peach skin with a dose of wet malts. OK
