This summertime version of a German Berlinerweiss is light, easy-drinking, and impeccably refreshing. This beer balances tart lemon lime flavor with a slight acidity, all brought on by the use of a sour mashing process and a long fermentation.

Draft pour. Rating from old notes. Pours a hazy golden color and topped by a small off white head of foam that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma is really funky with notes of sour citrus fruits, lemons, crisp wheat, some lactic sourness, cereal grains, and a funky old sock note. The flavor is better and shows less of the old sock note with more sour citrus, lemons, crisp grains and wheat, and the lactic sour acidity on the back end. Not overly sour, but refreshing. Light in body with ample carbonation that leads to wheat and sour lemon finish. Interesting take on the style, but the funky aroma threw it off for me a bit.

Draft at the Oakland Park brewery. Snifter. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a thick head. Tart citrus, mostly lemon zest nose with a funky yeast. Taste is lemon drop, slightly tart citrus, hint of lacto, salt, cereal, and funky yeast. Light body, big carb. Crisp finish. Good berliner.

Draft... Murky peach-colored pour with a small, creamy, white head. Smells grainy - wheated. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The grainy, citric flavor is a pairing of raspy wheat and a medium measure of lactic acidity. Crisp, tangy, refreshing finish.

Tap at Tedlight. Pours a hazy yellow. Funky sock aroma. Smooth light malt with lemony tart taste.

12 oz draft at the brewery in Oakland Park, Florida. The pour is hazed lighter yellow with a smallish off white head. The aroma is lime citrus, tart sour, and a fair amount of of diacetyl. The taste is the citrus tartness up front, move to a bit of wheat grain, and finishes with some straw and more of the tart and soft sour. The diacetyl is present, particularly as the beer warmed. The palate is light bodied, soft natural carbonation, and a tart diacetyl dry finish.

Cloudy faint yellow. Small film of a head on the sides of the glass. Very lime-y and tart, sour finish but not over the top. Bloody fantastic on a hot day!
