Pours a vey cloudy dark apricot color with tangerine edges and a very thin off-white head that immediately disapears. No lacing.
Smells more like a tart cider than a beer with lots of sweet apple juice and apple brandy character. Subtle oak/toothpick but tons of brandy along with sweet apple juice. Fait funky bugs but not much lactic or Berliner character in the nose. Apple and brandy dominate but it still smells pretty nice.
Tart puckering mouthfeel with lots of sour apple flavor along with funky bugs, musty brett and a really sweet apple brandy presence. Not much heat though, just boozy brandy sweetness. Some oak, but again it’s faint and the brandy dominates. As it warms, some lactic funk arrives but there’s little to no wheat/berlinerweisse character. Kind of tastes like a sour candy with boozy apple juice. Very sees but nice sourness. Not too acidic or harsh. Refreshing and decently drinkable but a bit too sweet for me and not true to style at all. Still, it’s a flavorful beer that I enjoyed. Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Draft at the Funky Buddha Lounge in Boca. Snifter. Pours a light amber with a thin head. Powerful aroma of apples (sour of course), other sour fruits, and tannins. The taste was pucker up major with the sour apples and pears hitting your palette. Dry finish and tart. Light body and easy to drink. I didn’t get much of the Brandy aspect. Refreshing. Draft... Clear amber pour with a short-lived, white head. The vibrant aroma is a fruity assortment of citrus peels. Medium-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor is a tart, tannic fusion of uncooked apricot and plum skins. Finishes crisp, tangy and refreshing. The liquor barrel doesn’t have much of an impact, which is fine by me, as I’m not at all into apple brandy. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Murky red brown colored pour. Small layer of white bubbles. No lacing. Aroma of tart wood and earth. Taste is a tart apple juice. Very tart. Pretty good.

On draft at Funky Buddha. From all the sour beers that the Buddha has brewed this one has a very distinct finish. Almost like a mix between musty and sweet malt. The sour kick is there as well, which is a pure delight. Great beer!
