glennmastrange (2897) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2016 Tap. Light to moderate grain and hay for the malt, light lemon for the hops, moderate barnyard for the yeast, with cranberries and cinnamon in the background. Head is small, frothy, off-white, with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky medium amber. Flavor starts harshly acidic, then finishes harshly acidic, acetic and sour. Palate is light to medium, watery with a very tart finish. A extremely puckering Berliner Weisse.

Draft at the FB Lounge in Boca Raton, FL. Snifter pour. Sort of a light color with a red hue. Kind of looked like a grapefruit juice with some red or purple mixed in. Thin head. No lace. Serious tart on the nose...almost made my eyes water from the acidity. You get the cranberries as well. The taste is pretty straight forward...really tart cranberries. Light body, little carbonation. Very tart and acidic finish. Loved it!

On draft at GABF 2012. This is what the person pouring told me it was. Pours a hazy pink-red with a white head. Nose is tart fruit, big cranberry and a hint of sweetness before big tartness comes back. Flavor follows: everything that is good about this style with a hit of cranberries. Light to medium in body and very nice overall.

Draft… Cloudy yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is a mélange of lemon peel, pale grain, moderate acidity and a faint suggestion of cranberry. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with zippy carbonation. The flavor, like the aroma, is only moderately acidic. No cranberry here, but it’s a pretty good base Berliner. Finishes crisp, tart and then dry. I like this beer, but its level of acidity is getting dangerously close to 7venth Sun’s. Please don’t keep trending in that direction, guys.

On draft at the Buddha. Like many of the other Berliners that the Buddha has made this one is damn solid. Great balance between the sour tartness and cranberry flavor. Could drink this by the gallon.
