UPDATED: FEB 15, 2018 Bottle in St Pete, Fl. Not sure why the hate. This beer is damn good but I am biased towards peanut butter. Pleasant aroma. Plenty of peanut butter flavor mixed with chocolate. Lovely dark beer

Pours a deep blackish brown from the bottle with bubbly tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of big peanut butter and sweet chocolate notes, covering all sense of beer there. Taste follows, a little sweet and fake candy undertones, most likely extract. Not bad, booze well hidden.

650ml bottle at Matt's. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruits with roasted malt notes. Similar candy-ish taste. Fairly pleasant.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma smells like peanut butter cup, with some nice cocoa notes. Flavour is pretty similar, tasting just like a Reese's peanut butter cup - full of peanut butter and milk chocolate, with moderate sweetness. Fun beer - balanced and candy-like. I like it.

From notes. Enjoyed in the company of Doug, Travis, Chris, Ryan, and Jake as part of an event we finally planned on November 15. 22 oz bottle. I forget who supplied this one. The pour is a darker thin dark brown/black with a thicker cap of pretty dense and foamy light tan colored head and a pretty hefty lace left behind. The aroma is solid. There is a nice dusty peanut butter throughout. It’s real heavy. A light chocolate comes through next. It’s almost sweet, but I like the balance. This is like a peanut butter cup. The flavor matches this. There is a dusty peanut butter and a good chocolate that works with the malts and a little light bitterness on the finish. The mouth feel is lighter medium bodied and clean with a bright carbonation and a lingeringly bitter and dusty peanut butter. This one is pretty interesting. It’s a good brown ale. I’m a fan 8 4 7 4 15

Heavy green pepper or perhaps like the review below me noticed a sort of rotting potato quality, very vegetal, nothing positive to say here. Unpleasant at best.

I love funky Buddha, but this one didn't work for me... Too bad. Aromas and flavours are dry, dusty, earthy peanuts. They nailed that party. But there is no chocolate or sweetness in this. Just roast and a lot of dry peanut.

02.05.2014, tap (as Don’t tell Reece) @ CBC:
Small shortlasting head. Aroma is very strange, potato, old potato cellar, hay, herbs, peanut, rutabaga, caramel malts, grass. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, peanut butter, potato, old potato cellar, hay, herbs, toffee, vanilla. Medium bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

Deep brown pour with minimal tan head. Aroma has a faintly sour note...roasty and fruity. Flavor shows some nuttiness, light chocolate amd vanilla...subtle sour like a mild infection?
