COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A malty red ale that pops with pleasantly fruity undertones, chock full of whole raspberries and just enough habanero peppers to create a pleasant tingle in your throat. You’ve got sweet, fruity, caramel-y, spicy all in one package - it’s like jam for your jelly, baby.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2017 Leaves a burning habanero aftertaste in the throat akin to that of eating chili!

Draught at Mikkeller & Friends. Hazy ruby colored with a small off white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, pepper and spices. Fruity flavor of caramel with notes of raspberries and pepper. Peppery finish.

22 oz bottle. Pours a mostly clear dark ruby color and topped by a small off white head of foam that settles in slowly to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of fresh, sweet raspberries, toasted caramel malts, some citrus hops, and some earthy chili pepper spice. The flavor follows suit with the fresh raspberries up front to go with the toasted caramel malts, earthy chili pepper spice, and firm hop bitterness on the back end. The chilies add significant heat on the back end that keeps growing with each sip and lingers on for awhile. After awhile the raspberries seem to fade and just the spice and heat from the chili peppers seem to be the only thing noticeable. Medium bodied with ample carbonation that leads to a slightly sweet, and peppery, spicy finish with the lingering heat. Pretty decent flavor overall, but too much spice and heat for me in what I like in beers. Definitely not one of my favorite beers that Funky does.

22 oz bottle Aroma: Intense raspberry, vinous with dark fruits. there’s plenty spicy heat. all this overwhelms anything that might be present derived from malt or hops. there’s even some cheesy thing going on that is very unpleasant. Appearance: pours amber/brown with a nice full 1/2" tan head with moderate retention. the beer is hazy / opaque. there was zero lacing observed. Taste: mostly caramelly sweet malts overwhelmed by semi stale raspberry flavor and bold vegetally habanero heat. there is some bitterness but the balance is way off. Palate: this beer is medium/full beer, with rich oily texture, moderate carbonation and strong astringency bordering on harsh. It finishes sweet with long spicy heat from habanero lingering for a while. Overall: I don’t understand the good review here. This beer is all over the place and just undrinkable. Neither funky tart fruit ale or a balanced malty red ale. A failed experiment for experimentation’s sake. - Let it be known that I love raspberries and anything to do with hot peppers...

Bottle shared in NH. Not quite sure where I got this - maybe a trade extra. Pours mostly clear copper-amber with a billowing, creamy off-white head. The nose has a little juicy raspberry, light suggestions of pepper, hints of toasted bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with forward chili pepper heat, some seedy raspberry, touches of earth. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty clean in the finish with more chili heat, mild throat burn, green pepper, background raspberry pulp, some seedy bitterness. Refreshing, in that chili burn kind of way. Fun stuff.

Cool beer. A little overcarbonated and too lively but still a cool beer. Nose of raspberry and some pepper notes, toasted malts, a little caramel and earth. Pours brown amber, big rocky frothy head that doesn’t settle down. Hard to get a good pour. Flavors of raspberry on top of toasted and caramel malts with a really nice pepper flavor and subtle heat throughout. Really a cool beer. Would have been even better if not for the carbonation issues.

Had this one on tap at the brewery. Pours a reddish brown. Subtle raspberry aroma. Taste has a slight raspberry tartness and heat on the back end, but not overwhelming. Overall a great and easy beer to drink.

Nice pepper fruit beer, well balanced. Heat and sweet neither overwhelming or hiding. Still a sipper despite sessionable IPA.

Bomber from Chan?s Wine World in Destin: reddish brown, tan head. aroma of raspberry and faint pepper. tastes are raspberry jam mixed with light even long pepper spice - as advertised. fun overall. a sipper despite the low abv.
