Draft… Straw-colored pour with a mid-sized, foamy, white head. Good retention. Jasmine flavor and aroma abound. Lactic acidity and citrus fruit - lemon and key lime - emerge as well. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. Well-balanced overall, although it does lean slightly acidic. Fruity, floral tartness lingers all the way through the coarse, dry finish. Draft on tap at 7venth Sun Hangover Day (Dunedin, FL). Pours a richer hazy straw hue, some natural homemade applesauce. Well hazed, murky pour with straw yellow edges. A frothy whitish head atop stays as a firm film, laces well. Aromas are lemony and lactic, somem yogurt, medium sourness hits the nose with flaked wheat, touches of jasmine provide a mellow earthy, faint floral feel. Initial is potent sour punch, lemon and lactic, some lime, yogurty lactic feel. Some straw, grain, gentle jasmine cool spice. Really nice tangy lactic sourness punches into the backend. Touch of bready malt, straw, and flaked wheat. Nice sourness returns as we turn the corner, some cool jasmine, really solid sessioner coats the palate with firm lemony sourness, zest, and lactic acid. Good flavors, zesty sour finish. Damn good base berliner, the jasmine is mellow, just a touch into middle. Really damn good and sour. Potent. Sour kick. Really nice. Amazing the differences between this and the starfruit version on two different days, persumably from the same base berliner. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - JUL 26, 2012
On draft at Funky Buddha. Pours a white fluffy head with very good carbonation. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the aroma but it was quite good. Hints of jasmine, fruity candy, raisins and bran muffin. Flavor was tart and sour like their other treatments of berliners. Another stellar showing from the Buddha crew.
