COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Imperial version of our Last Snow porter is a rich, thick, decadent treat. Pitch black and viscous, it’s made with coconut and fresh roasted coffee. We then age it in Bourbon barrels for months to accentuate the vanilla and coconut notes. Originally brewed in collaboration with our friends at Park Tavern in Delray Beach.

Bottle split at Chris & Ruths pre GBBF Shin Dig, cheers for all the shares, 05/08/17. Pitch black with a solid tan head. Nose is big on bourbon, spice, charr, light peppermint, cocoa rub, toffee melt. Taste comprises dark chocolate Bounty Bar, light spice, bourbon xoak, toffee fudge, coconut shavings, moderate roast, mellow booze. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close. Solid well balanced BA affair - top draw !

Very dark brown pour, minimal head quickly recedes to nothing. Tons of coffee on the nose, little coconut and chocolate. Flavor is rich coffee followed by equal amounts of chocolate and coconut. The bourbon barrel is on the back end, with a little alcohol heat and flavor. Finishes drier and more bitter than expected. Medium body with little carbonation. Overall this is very tasty. It reminds me of some mocha coconut K-cups that I got for Christmas.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2017 Pitch black with medium, light brown, thick head. Very good head retention and good lacing. Beautiful milk chocolate notes, along with nice coconut profile. The coconut with milk chocolate rulez here, than nice, mild coffee notes. Bourbon notes like in all FB beers are not so offensive in nicely incorporate into the brew. This is probably the best imperial porters from FB I've ever had.

Pachnie potężnie kawą z mega kokosem i czekoladą, w smaku dochodzi konkretne bourbonowe uderzenie, piwo konkretnie zagrzewa, czuć ciało, profil wybitnie degustacyjny, trzeba nad nim posiedzieć. Klasa!

August 2017 - Bottle share at Chriso's Pre-GBBF Shindiggery. Thanks! As 'Funky Buddha Last Buffalo in the Park'. Opaque black with a foamy light brown head. Aroma is coconut and there's not much else to say. Oh, OK – Bounty Bar and Macaroons. Vanilla and chocolate. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is again very coconut macaroons, coconut covered chocolate teacake, coconut flavoured dark chocolate, coconut covered coconut with coconut essence. Quite boozy and spicy in the finish with some coffee liqueur notes. I like this and completely see the appeal, but it's a bit one-dimensional. If your idea of beer heaven involves rich coconut flavours, this could be the holy grail for you. (8-4-7-4-16=3.9)

Bottle at C&R's Pre-GBBF tasting 2017. Massive thanks to Jan! It pours jet black with a decent light tan - dark beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, big intoxicating sweetness, vanilla, loads of toasted coconut, bounty bar, fudge and coffee. The aroma is dry, bitter, rich roasted malt, charred wood, coconut, fake chocolate bounty bar, cocoa, earthy, toast, vanilla, oak and coffee beans. Touch of alcohol warmth kicking about. Full body, fine carbonation and slick mouth - feel. Not a huge amount of depth, but very enjoyable nonetheless. Funky Buddha can really nail these big adjuncted stouts.

Sample via Leighton. Pours black with a thin off white head. Aroma is chocolate, marshmallow, coconut, rum and a hint of coffee. Taste is a boozy snowball. Lots of coconut and chocolate, a little coffee, marshmallow. Just simply awesome beer.
