Maple syrup dominates here, but it's not over dominating. Light to moderate coffee notes, moderate toffee, just a slight of smokiness. Taste is very sweet with nice maple syrup notes. In overall as for a porter style really good brew. drfabulous (8282) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 6, 2017
Bottle shared at Todd’s. Big coffee and chocolate notes throughout, though I thought it was thinner than Wide Awake. travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 13, 2017
Bottle. The look is dark, thin tan head, and brown to black in color. The smell is tons of maple syrup, sweet, pancake memories, coffee, salt, coffee. meat, definitely breakfast. The taste is coffee, sweet, maple, lives up to breakfast in a glass. Good, not quite as good as expected but still pleasing. beerplace (1805) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
650ml bottle (thx, Reginald D.!) shared with Jamey W. Pours an almost black with a tan head. Aroma is maple syrup, coffee with milk, chocolate (it becomes a little bit grainy within a time, though). Similar taste. Very good stuff. gunnfryd (15104) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 26, 2017

The best porter I’ve ever had with "No Rules" coming in a close second. The maple flavor and smell is amazing! HuskerTan (2323) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - MAY 10, 2017
A- Maple syrup, candied bacon, subtle brown sugar, subtle molasses.
A- Black body, black liquid, light brown head.
T- Subtle bacon, maple, mild sweetness.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish.
O- Again with these tasty porters from Funky Buddha. Seems like it should be a huge beer but it’s a tasty beer that hasn’t been Imperialized and remains at less than 6.5%. Definitely lives up to the hype. I got loads of pure real maple flavor with a candied bacon secondarily that adds a light burnt brown sugar flavor without much umami. Somehow I didn’t get much coffee. I’m sure it helps balance things out but it didn’t standout as a flavor that I detected. Somehow these all work well together yet shine on their own. What a tasty treat this was. Meilby (11570) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2017

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, toffee, coffee, molasses, chocolate, bacon and maple syrup.
Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, bacon and maple syrup finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
2017 bomber pours a dark brown black with a large khaki tan head. Sweet aroma of maple, caramel, toffee, with lighter coffee and roasted malts. Smooth and creamy on the palate, sweet flavors of milk chocolate, very present but not overbearing maple, vanilla, caramel mocha, a touch of salt, with light but distinct roasted smoky malt and coffee on the finish. Great balance of flavors, highly drinkable and delicious!!! jc1762 (1552) - Washington DC, USA - APR 29, 2017
Bottle poured into a wineglass showing translucent coffee brown rims with spare white foam.
The nose shows a lot of coffee and milk chocolate.
The palate is medium bodied and porter carbonation, foamy body. Strong flavors of dry milk chocolate, caramel latte/mocha and maple syrup. Dry and a strong maple/latte finish.
