Bottle shared thanks to artmcd8. Poured almost black with min beige head. Aroma strong with coffee maple and choc like a doughnut. Light carb med bod. Tastes like a doughnut maybe a lil bitter. Beardaxe (293) - - OCT 18, 2014
Poured from bomber into snifter. Medium head that quickly dissipated. Intoxicating aroma of maple syrup, smoke, and coffee. The flavor is really on point. At first it might seem weak compared to the aroma but anything more intense and the beer would come across more as a gimmick. Instead, it's balanced beautifully. There's a soft maple syrup presence that is never cloying or too much. If sits there and gently envelops the smoke and coffee. Don't be fooled, this is an easy drinking, excellent made beer. I could drink a ton of these. BiiruBierBeer (1056) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Huge aroma of maple and coffee. Taste is heavy coffee and maple with a bit of bacon in there. This is definitely the best porter I’ve ever had without a doubt. phaleslu (10462) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 16, 2014
22 oz. bottle via trade. Pours a deep opaque brown with a finger of tan head. Really nice looking. The aroma and flavor are mostly the same in notes and in character - maple on the initial and finish, dark chocolate, smoky pork (bacon), brown sugar, toast, and a shot of espresso in the middle. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a roasty mouthfeel that finishes sticky. There’s absolutely no balance in this at all in the nose or on the palate. It’s like 1-2-3-4 in terms of picking out the individual elements. They’re all really enjoyable, but certainly not blended together. Would that even be possible? I don’t know, but I’m wondering if I’d like that version more or less because I liked all the pieces here. Fun beer. sloth (2923) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - AUG 31, 2014
Large brown head with good retention and little lace. Head settles into a thin sheet and just stays there. Black bodied brew. Maple aromas pop ya first then the heavily roasted coffee climbs outta there, hint metallic, nice. Body is med/full, bit chewy and nicely creamy and oily on the palate, almost silky, fine carbonation.Nice, dry, chewy, over roatsy coffee flavors, bittersweet chocolate, glancing maple notes, slight smoke (bacon?) caramel and some black malt notes. Dry finish is roasty tough and large with coffee. Man i love maple and this beer delivered. Blended nicely with the roasty coffee notes. Well done FB! No let down here. Many thanks to CraftCommander for hookin me up with a brew iv,e been hunting for for a while now. Thank Marco!

For everything this beer is worth it’s worth it all. It had roasted nose of plenty of char and maple. Bacon!! Flavor is more maple and bacon and roast and caramel and heavy. Sweet Christ almighty. Sweet Jesus... Sweet jesus... devman171 (1221) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - AUG 14, 2014

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2015 Bomber, shared in line at R&D release. Lots of coffee a touch of maple and bacon do come through. And actual bacon, not smoke like some other bacon beers. Pretty good stuff, definitely legit.

Fresh 2014 bomber. Smell is as good as it gets. Coffe and maple bomb. Taste is a bit light on the flavor, but I guess it is a regular porter. Still very good. Crazy that I’ve only had 3 beers from these guys but would easily put them in my top 10 breweries.
yeah, this is one of those beers you hope is all hype, but it really lives up to it. wisdomsolo (466) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2014
