Coffee Porter.
Evoking a complete diner-style breakfast in a glass, Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is a complex beer with a multitude of flavors at play. It pours an opaque ebony brew with a frothy tan head. Aromas of sticky maple syrup, coffee, and cream creep forth from the glass. The mouth feel is luxuriously creamy, with layers of sweet malt, toffee, and roast giving way to waves of smoke, coffee, and salted chocolate. It finishes sticky, rich, and sweet, with the flavor of maple syrup lingering pleasantly on the tongue.

It’s a damn shame that more people don’t get to try this beer, hell I live right near the brewery and have only had it on a couple of occasions. It is just remarkable how well the bacon integrates with the maple sweetness without tasting like some Schlenkerla beer dipped inside a bottle of Dirty Bastard. The coffee is what puts it over the top, sealing the deal as a well-rounded and nuanced beer with excellent aroma and great flavor.

Maple syrup dominates here, but it's not over dominating. Light to moderate coffee notes, moderate toffee, just a slight of smokiness. Taste is very sweet with nice maple syrup notes. In overall as for a porter style really good brew.

Bottle shared at Todd’s. Big coffee and chocolate notes throughout, though I thought it was thinner than Wide Awake.

Bottle. The look is dark, thin tan head, and brown to black in color. The smell is tons of maple syrup, sweet, pancake memories, coffee, salt, coffee. meat, definitely breakfast. The taste is coffee, sweet, maple, lives up to breakfast in a glass. Good, not quite as good as expected but still pleasing.

650ml bottle (thx, Reginald D.!) shared with Jamey W. Pours an almost black with a tan head. Aroma is maple syrup, coffee with milk, chocolate (it becomes a little bit grainy within a time, though). Similar taste. Very good stuff.

The best porter I’ve ever had with "No Rules" coming in a close second. The maple flavor and smell is amazing!

Bottle. A- Maple syrup, candied bacon, subtle brown sugar, subtle molasses. A- Black body, black liquid, light brown head. T- Subtle bacon, maple, mild sweetness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Again with these tasty porters from Funky Buddha. Seems like it should be a huge beer but it’s a tasty beer that hasn’t been Imperialized and remains at less than 6.5%. Definitely lives up to the hype. I got loads of pure real maple flavor with a candied bacon secondarily that adds a light burnt brown sugar flavor without much umami. Somehow I didn’t get much coffee. I’m sure it helps balance things out but it didn’t standout as a flavor that I detected. Somehow these all work well together yet shine on their own. What a tasty treat this was.

Bottle 650ml @ yngwie - 2016/17 new year tasting
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, toffee, coffee, molasses, chocolate, bacon and maple syrup. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, bacon and maple syrup finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
