COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our search for the finest cocoa nibs brought us to the far corners of the earth. We tried them all: raw nibs from Guatemala; roasted jewels from the West Indies. But the most potent, intensely chocolatey ones we found hailed from the far-away reaches of Brazil. But there was one problem. We had to get them back. So with sacks in tow, we stole away with those precious nibs and smuggled them, along with fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans, deep into the reaches of a pitch black milk porter. And so, Nib Smuggler Chocolate Milk Porter was born.

A bit thin, but otherwise a lovely cocoa forward, moderately roasty porter. Plesant would be the perfect word for this.

12oz bottle, pours deep dark, brown frothy head, decent lacing. I definitely get the bitterness from the nibs but this bottle had a very present medicinal, metallic taste to it. Possibly a spoiled bottle....bottled on 11/24/15 , consumed on 11/13/16.

chinchill (4749) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 23, 2016
12 oz bottle from Florida served in a goblet. This is a classic dessert beer. Its sweet but not cloying, with a very strong influence of cocoa nibs and moderate vanilla bean. The aroma features cocoa, subtle vanilla, dark bread, and a hint of coffee. Overall: Good balance, lots of flavor and an enticing aroma. Worth seeking out.
