COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our search for the finest cocoa nibs brought us to the far corners of the earth. We tried them all: raw nibs from Guatemala; roasted jewels from the West Indies. But the most potent, intensely chocolatey ones we found hailed from the far-away reaches of Brazil. But there was one problem. We had to get them back. So with sacks in tow, we stole away with those precious nibs and smuggled them, along with fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans, deep into the reaches of a pitch black milk porter. And so, Nib Smuggler Chocolate Milk Porter was born.

(Rating #7161)

Dark black, no head. Hello dark milk chocolate. Loads of loads of milky dark chocolate. Velvet smooth. Vanilla is a nice touch. Thx Homer for the top 50 in my favorite style (Sweet stout).

A bit thin, but otherwise a lovely cocoa forward, moderately roasty porter. Plesant would be the perfect word for this.

A: Deep dark brown coloured with a thin light brown head N: Vanilla, maple syrup, milk chocolate, light coffee T: Maple syrup, vanilla, milk chocolate, almuminum foil O: Very promising nose to it, a bit dissapointing taste though. A strange metallic taste...? A bit thin mouthfeel.

12oz bottle, pours deep dark, brown frothy head, decent lacing. I definitely get the bitterness from the nib’s but this bottle had a very present medicinal, metallic taste to it. Possibly a spoiled bottle....bottled on 11/24/15 , consumed on 11/13/16.

12 oz bottle from Florida served in a goblet. This is a classic dessert beer. It’s sweet but not cloying, with a very strong influence of cocoa nibs and moderate vanilla bean. The aroma features cocoa, subtle vanilla, dark bread, and a hint of coffee. Overall: Good balance, lots of flavor and an enticing aroma. Worth seeking out.

Sample at the "Post Beer Week Bottle Share" on 06/06/16. Pours a dark brown color with a medium creamy tan head that dissipates steadily to a dense film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted malt, cocoa and vanilla coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
