COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our search for the finest cocoa nibs brought us to the far corners of the earth. We tried them all: raw nibs from Guatemala; roasted jewels from the West Indies. But the most potent, intensely chocolatey ones we found hailed from the far-away reaches of Brazil. But there was one problem. We had to get them back. So with sacks in tow, we stole away with those precious nibs and smuggled them, along with fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans, deep into the reaches of a pitch black milk porter. And so, Nib Smuggler Chocolate Milk Porter was born.

341ml Bottle from trade with Sean served at 54F. Thanks Sean. Aroma: intense chocolate aroma, hint of vanilla and fresh coffee beans. App: pitch black with medium frothy moka, on retention, good lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, smooth, just a tiny tad watery, moderate carbonation, men sweetness, finish is sweet. Overall: good stuff. Wish it was maybe a bit more strong, but overall quite good. Well done

Pours from the bottle near pitch black with a light tan foam. Chocolate, vanilla, and a rich roast aroma. Some coffee like bitterness hits first followed by the rich chocolate. Good body but not a great deal of sweetness.

Bottled 11/24/2015 enjoyed in a Mad Elf tulip. Look - A lot of sediment, it turns the dark brown body almost reddish brown. No lacing. No head left after a while. Head is tan when there. 4 Smell - Coke. Chocolate. Sweet. Raspberry. Taste - Chocolate. Coke. Dr. Pepper. Sweet. Feel - Not carbonated. Milky. Overall - Crazy murkiness. One of the most pop forward beers Ive had. Not something to write home about. Milk stouts have really stopped appealing to me.

Opaque black with a creamy tan head. Medium-full body with a malto-dextrine-like film, high carbonation.

aroma: coffee, cacao, roast grain acidity, woody vanilla, faint floral hops.

taste: coffee, faint cacao, roast grain acidic/astringent bite, woody vanilla.

much more stout-like than porter. cacao is mostly buried by dark roasted grain elements. Vanilla is more prominent, but rather sharp and woody (I am not a fan of madagascan vanilla).
