COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our search for the finest cocoa nibs brought us to the far corners of the earth. We tried them all: raw nibs from Guatemala; roasted jewels from the West Indies. But the most potent, intensely chocolatey ones we found hailed from the far-away reaches of Brazil. But there was one problem. We had to get them back. So with sacks in tow, we stole away with those precious nibs and smuggled them, along with fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans, deep into the reaches of a pitch black milk porter. And so, Nib Smuggler Chocolate Milk Porter was born.

Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark reddish-brown pour, light, quickly fading head. Delectable chocolate and vanilla aroma, hints of licorice. Flavor runs along the same lines with some cocoa nibs, a touch of vanilla extract, black licorice int he finish. Nice slick mouthfeel. Pretty solid stuff.

The aroma is amazing, just like a glass of chocolate milk. The body is a bit light, but for a porter still good. Big time chocolate taste. Pretty great.

Aroma: intense milk chocolate, caramel, light toasted malts. Appearance: clear black, hardly any head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: chocolate again, sweet, cacao, some vanilla. Overall: nice Sweet Stout, maybe a touch too sweet for me. Pint at CBC, Clapham.

Draft at Craft Beer Co. Clapham during Route CBC - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds roasted malts, coffee, earth. Medium sweet flavor with cheap-tasting cocoa, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary on the finish with more lightly artificial chocolate, moderate roast. So so overall.

Tap at Route CBC, London. Black with light brown foam. Some lacing. Aroma is pretty light. Taste is earthy, roasty, chocolatey. Hint of tobacco in there along with some lurking red fruits. Long cocoa finish. Lovely mouthfeel; almost like a milkshake. Not bad, but expected a bit more from it.

Scopey (13309) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2015
Tap at Route CBC. It pours darkest brown-black with a decent white head. The nose is rich chocolate, dark chocolate cake, toasty, salted caramel, rocky road and a touch of glace cherry. The taste is rich, dark chocolate, gateaux, slight creaminess, earthy roast, toast and coffee grounds with a smooth finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Well-rounded and very drinkable indeed. Tasty.
