COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Make the long night shorter, Forgetting not, Good stout old English Porter.” — R. H. Messenger

Luscious and silky smooth with a body to match, OP Porter is uncompromisingly rich yet surprisingly drinkable. A complex blend of dark malts and real milk sugar creates the bold flavors of dark roast coffee mingling with farm fresh cream. For the stout and porter lover in each of us, OP is a knockout.

Pairing suggestions: Cave-aged Bleu cheese, arancini with veal ragu, roast pork with gravy, bacon burger with fried egg and cheddar cheese, molten chocolate cake.

INky, very little of the ringing tan foam. Roasty, slightly creosotic aroma. Smoky, rauchbier-tasting at times, coffee tang, very lightly sweet. Sweet aftertaste. The beer gets clingy after a while. On tap, Proof, downstairs with LuckyDog.

brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Rich and smooth. Dark brown body, tons of sticky tan lace. Silky body leads to a malty, roasty profile. A bit sweet for a porter, but it works. Tasty.
