COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed for Funky Buddhas 2nd Anniversary Celebration.
For our original fall release, Funky Buddha decided to create a beer that strayed from the pumpkin mold, instead patterning it after this eponymous Thanksgiving dish. And heres a novel thought: we actually brew it in the Fall as well, around November, so you can drink it at the same time that youre tucking into your Thanksgiving feast. At nearly 8%, its a big, rich, sticky beer full of sweet potato and marshmallow flavor.

Thanks JC. Big aroma of cinnamon, or maybe pumpkin spice. Touch of the sweet potato I think. Taste is the same, way too cinnamon spicy for me so not quite sure. Bit of sweetness too.

Thanks Greg for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing well filtered caramel yellow with a half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows cinnamon and sweet potato. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Borderline cloying with flavors of cinnamon and light savory potato on the mid-palate.

Bottle, thanks Wolff. A bit hazy copper with a medium head. Aroma of nutmeg, some cinnamon, fruit and light perfume. Similar taste, also hints of potatoes. Sweet and with a medium body. Not a bad one but really special.

Tap. Pours hazy copper. Aroma and flavor are spot on with the name; huge brown sugar and sweet potatoes, vanilla, caramel, and very faint chocolate. Medium body.

Bottle poured a hazy orange amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of sweet potato, vanilla, caramel, nutmeg, apple and light cinnamon. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, apple, sweet potato nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla with a smooth dry lingering spiced apple finish. Definitely better as it warms up.

12 oz. bottled 08/10/2016. Pours hazy, sweet potato flesh colored with a thin film of foam. Nose is sweet potato, caramel and a hint of earthy spice. Flavors of sweet potato, light sour melon, a shake of earthy spice, vanilla and a touch of vinegar. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and a nice balance for a dessert-styled beer.
