Pours black with little to no head. Aroma is amazing. Maple, bacon, and coffee. I donít know how they manage this one. Buts its pretty damn amazing. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is more maple, bacon, then finishes with coffee. I kept smelling and tasting and smelling and tasting. This is an amazing beer and worth seeking out. Just awesome.

Pours opaque coffee brown with a serviceable tan head. Aroma delivers maple syrup, roast malt, coffee and molasses tones. Flavor is breakfast in a bottle - coffee, maple syrup, roast malt, molasses, sweet but not cloying. Mouthfeel offers thick body and lively fizz. One sip and youíll be wide awake. Too much, and--

Bottle @home. Black colour with light brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, smoke, lots of maple syrup. Taste is similar but it has bit more kick to it than the original, more bitterness, which is nice! All in all a freaking great porter!

Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with bubbly tan wispy head that dissipates slowly to leave good lace. Aroma of big smoky earth notes up front, boundless chocolate malts and roast, and a nice sweet back end. Taste follows, hint of booze at the end with a nice earthy smoke from the bacon, coffee over all of it. Thicker than you would think for a porter, but still not syrup, booze is present, but not over the top. Really nice.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2017 Tap. Moderate toasted cereal, dark bread, chocolate and hints of coffee for the malt, light pine forrest for the hops, light dough and earth for the yeast, with maple syrup, wood, burnt, and cola in the background. Head is small, frothy, light brown, with good lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is moderately bittersweet. Palate is full, syrupy with a soft carbonation and a lightly astringent and sticky finish. This is a top notch Imperial Porter, maybe one or two "off" aspects that keeps it from being perfect, but the woods-y characteristics is what I enjoyed most about it.

Maple, bacon, chocolate, and just all around goodness. Itís a bit sweet so I couldnít drink loads of it. But itís great to have a small glass of it.
