(Bottle). Aroma and taste of caramel malt, hops and toffee. I notice virtually no smoked malt in the taste.
50 cl bottle, shared. Clear, mahogany colour with a dense, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, nuts, toasted bread, fruits, subtle smoke and a vinous hint. Taste is light sweet. Palette: medium malty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness balanced by a medium bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: well balanced brown ale.
