Bottle from Kumiyama AEON Mall liquor shop. Malty nose, with caramel, light sugar, and distinct earthy, piney hopping. Dark amber color. Caramel, good, mild fruitiness, small hop tracks. Thin-medium body. Fairly good stuff, definitely in the British mode. KyotoLefty (10599) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 2, 2013
Bottle from Isetan. Earthy malt nose, caramel, tobacco, minerals. Rather weak. Medium amber color with a low head. Sweet and malty, caramel, grass. Rather decent flavors. Light. OK. Nicely drinkable and English. Good bitter hops. KansaiBeerLvrs (5300) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 1, 2013
Furano beer Pale ale. 400 yen or so from Kyoyo Isetan. 5% great amber pour but alas the foam vanished almost immediately. The aroma is mostly malty sweetness with a touch of hops. The flavor is lots of caramel/toffee over a mild bitter pine hop base. Possibly a touch too sweet. Pretty good but I wanted something hoppier today... Hoppsan (151) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 8, 2013
A rather lacklustre pale ale brewed with wheats, resulting in a light body and citrus notes.
