In short: nice dunkel.
Pours little hazy dark amber with nice frothy off white head. Moderate to long head retention, good lacing. Malty, caramel, licorice, hay and bread nose. Light body, average carbonation, little crispy texture. Taste is quite sweet, mellow, smooth, bready, nuts, licorice, caramel. Good.
Dark red brown (very dark) with little coarse light brown head. Aroma is walnuts licorice, caramel, toffee. Not very much aroma. Taste is well rounded with sweetness of dark fruits together with a little roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is actually quite thin. Much carbonation with watery body. However medium long finish with more licorice and sweetness. Overall OK. Cthulhu (1030) - MARSHALL ISLANDS - APR 10, 2016

on tap in ellingen at the bar around the corner from the brewery, just a small part of a very enjoyable experience in ellingen. very dark brown, clear with a persistent beige head; aroma hints at stonefruits, caramel and even a touch of molasses; rich texture; some slightly tinny bitterness, caramel sweetness, cocoa-coated prunes; good stuff - the right balance between flavourful and drinkable

0,5 l bottle from Kristall-König. Thanks a lot! A darkest red brown in the glass, small light tanned head. More nuts than malt on the nose. Starts dark malty, roasted, coffie, caramell and nuts, sweetness. Longlasting taste. Maybe some salty hints in the background. Nice one! Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - APR 27, 2015

Bitter hoppy, caramelly aroma with some nuts. Taste is malty-roasty, toasted, some toffee, bitter hops and some hazelnut. Solid, but nothing special...
