marcus (10751) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 11, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours clear copper with an attractive off-white head and a floral cereal aroma. There is a clean pilsner malt flavor with a pretty bitter finish. Typical rheinheitsgebot.

This is a pretty simple pils. The dryness is slight, just enough to make it not taste like a plain lager. Good.

CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - FEB 1, 2013
50cl bottle: pours a clear pale champagne golden with a stringy lacing white head. Has a clean floral noble hoppy nose with some light pale malty undertones. Starts with decent fullness and light malty sweetness with crisp grassy hop flavor and light citrus before a smooth drier bittersweet finish. True to style and very drinkable.

Bottle - 500mL swing-top. Best before 25.09.13. Translucent gold with a tall, foamy white head. Aroma is soft grassy hops, light floral notes, sweet malt and soft biscuit. Taste is sweet malt, light honey notes, biscuit, grassy hops and light floral notes. Body is light-medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more biscuit, light grassy hops, faint floral hops and light honey notes.

Smells like crushed malts. Straw-colored, but with very little head. It has a white pepper taste and a sharp hop finish, but not much else. It does have a crisp finish that cleans out your palate when it’s done. Overall it’s fine, but not the best example of a traditional pils.

swing top bottle. clear gold with a large, fluffy, white head. clean aroma of honey and cereal. bittering hops show up in the flavor with a floral note. clean and light bodied finish without being too syrupy. nice lively carbonation level.

ChainGangGuy (4932) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 24, 2012
500ml bottle - $3.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a pale yellow, stray-hued body with a tall, foamy, white head. Notable clarity. Sticky lacing deposit mark every sip, every gulp.

Smell: A big whiff of pilsner malts, with notes of grain, dough, and fresh honey. Touch of yeastiness. Light, zestful hoppiness.

Taste: Sweetish pils maltiness, with little hints of honey basted grains. In slides a yeasty dough flavor, but, then an addition of the clover honey. Snappy hop character, giving touches of spice and hop, with plenty of bitterness to balance things out and make the way for a dry, crispish finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It’s crisp, flavorful, pure, and delightful, offering up a satisfaction that seeps into your heart (and other internal organs).

The aroma is malty with a corn like malt and a light papery, grassy, and latex like hops. The appearance is pale yellow with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin but right for the style. Overall this is a good example of the style.

Pretty standard for a European pilsner. Crisp and bubbly with a light malt flavor. Good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

.5L Swing-top bottle. BB 23.09.13. Pours clear yellow color. White fizzy head. Great lacing. Aroma of pils malts, grassy hops, light berries, loads of straw & hay. It smells like a CD-Pils! Tastes very clean & crisp. Light, slightly sweet malts, flavors of straw, some skunky hops in the end. I’d love to buy a full case of these. Good for a session. This beer is great! (3552)
