Deep mahogany color with a thick light tan head. Aroma is caramel, bread, dough, and nuts. Taste is caramel, chocolate, cereal, and a quick finish. All of the flavor is very subdued. Not bad but not memorable either.

Lightly hopped Dunkel, brown appearance, cocoa and malt backbone blend well. Refreshing German beer with a long ass name.

Labeled Landsknecht Dunkles Kellerbier (5.2% ABV): Grainy nose, dirty. Clear brown, thick cream colored head, some lacing. Dirty chocolate flavor, grainy. Not very intense, but flavors are fairly easily discernible. Pecan finish. Light body. Quite a nice session beer that isn’t cloying, hoppy, or overly roasty.

The aroma is slightly toasted with paper, mixed grain, and chocolate. The appearance is light brown with a small head. The taste is like the aroma with a mineral quality. The palate is a bit thin. Overall very weak and disappointing.

Kinda bland and slightly tasteless. Dark with only slight caramel essence. For a quick drink and fast dinner ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What a good looking beer! Pours dark with an off white head that floats on top like cream! Beautiful! A sweet malty aroma and a dark brown color. A pleasant malty flavor with a touch of bitter on the back side. Great mouth feel. This was great beer!

.5 liter swing-top bottle. BB: 25.09.13. Brown color, brown foam, great lacing. Aroma of toasted brown grains. Fresh aroma, smells like a fresh, hearty Dunkel. Light taste, toasted grains, grassy hops. Some flavors of chocolate, nice roast. Clean finish, hearty malt flavors. A suberb Dunkel! (3553)
