0.33 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Reddish amber color. Sweet aroma with raisins, almonds, bread and molasses. Sweet taste with nuts, raisiny caramel, licorice, dark bread and dark sugar. Rounded mellow caramelly palate. Fairly complex but quite caramelly dominated also.

Aroma: caramel like soy sauce
Strong alcohol smell in finish
Sweet finish
Roasted flavour

Not good for a daily drink, but maybe fits to special winter evening...

sulawang (1161) - - JAN 27, 2016
Visual: Pours muddy light brown with no head, very thin ringed micro retention, a few bubbles here and there. Nose: sweet brown sugar malt, light roast (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: silky-flat, thicker viscosity Mid-palate: (lvl-7)-sweetness, (MAIN) brown sugar, caramel, medium roasted barley malt Finish: alcohol tanginess, residual caramel, stealth hops, watery cola finish. Summary: Decent thick malty flavour with hints of dark fruit, but the lack of carbonation and buttery mouthfeel killed it for me. Drinkable, though just an average experience.

Rating #1412 25.12.2014 - 330mL swingtop #21 in the 2014 Craft BeerAdvent Calendar. Rich blackbrown pour with a creamy tan head that bubbles away quickly. Aroma is roast malts, hint of chocolate and weak coffee, mild nuttiness (almond). Mild carbonation, medium-heavy alcohol warmth, little yeasty whiff as well. Palate is more malt character, nutty, chocolatey, quite bitter. Lovely doppelbock, one of my favourites in this box.

patricks110 (2495) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 4, 2015
Not too bad. Lots of molasses, rich toffee and nuts, mild yeast notes. A nice cold night brew with a moderate body, light carbonation and a rich, sweet malt.

Lagerboy (2206) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 30, 2015
330 ml swingtop. Mostly clear deeper copper, tan foam competely fades. Boozy malty caramel toffee aroma and taste, nice enough flavour but way too flat. Medium bodied, low hopped. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Oakes (17664) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 4, 2015
Hazy light amber-brown. Relatively flat. Sweet and with doughy, lumpy malts. Pretty flat bock,

Leicht süßlich und malziges Bier. Etwas bitter aber süffig mit leichter Karamellnote. Alkoholhaltig mit langem Abgang

DuffMan (10424) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottle, from the Craft Beer Advent Calendar, not sure which day. Medium amber, average off white head. Lightly toasty caramel, bready, light marzipan. Nice.

gramity (1668) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 2, 2015
A hazy dark amber beer with a small amber head. The aroma is dusty combined with notes of caramel and light notes of alcohol and fruit. The flavor is sweet alcohol with strong notes of caramel as well as hints of metal, probably stemming from the alcohol.

Cruzer (103) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 26, 2014
Enjoyed this one, strong winter beer, with aroma of malts, chocolate and caramel. Flavour of strong malts, with hints of fruit and spices at the end.
