500ml on tap at the brewpub. Aroma is dark chocolate and light ethanol. Appearance is dark, cloudy brown with a thick brown-ish foam. Taste is sweet and light bitter. Slightly dry with a soft carbonation. Very nice.

draft at Fürstliches in Regensburg. dark brown body, lightly cloudy. rich chewy toffee and burnt caramel malt focused doppelbock with plum wine and plum / black cherry puree. wonderfully malty and even juicy. sweet for sure, but very flavorful with enjoyable body and texture, though it’s mildly rough on the edges and seems a bit cola-like at times, but easily drinkable.

Draught, 7.8% at the brewpub. Weak malty aroma, hint of paper. Dark brown colour, seems a little hazy. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is nicely sweet, there is some brown sugar. The aroma hop is distinct, nice and spicy. Quite distinct alcohol flavour as well. The bitterness is clear in the finish, a bit rough like in their Helles.
