Light unclear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, apricot, fruity - milk sour notes, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, and a sour notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy straw colour, airy head. Orangey nose. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied. Despite subdued carbonation it feels alive and fresh. Moer fruity sweet apricot jam and citrus than in the Niederrhein originals, so it’s not entirely a copy of kölsch. Instead it’s a beer inspired by it, bringin out something new. I like it! Served in a 200ml glass. Hazy light yellow. Very wheaty aroma with a dry, herbal spiciness. Very appetizing. Wheaty, with slight fizz. Gentle tropical fruit notes and very refreshing. Disappears almost instantly. Excellent stuff IMO - a cloudy take on the kolsch concept, but with more wheat and fruitiness. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2009
Apparently a Regensburger take on a kolch? Served in the .2L glass. Is obviously unfiltered with a very hazy, yellow, thick white head. The aroma is bursting with sweet grain and fruity yeasts with lots of lemon and orange in the aroma. Smells very fresh. Spritzy mouthfeel is very refreshing. Nice texture and the fruitiness is nice too. Fun refresher and very unique.
