On Tap at the brewbub. Trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch bananig fruchtig, hefig. Geschmack süß malzig, bananig, etwas Nelke, nett.

500nl on tap at the brewpub in Regensburg. Aroma is light yeast and banana. Appearance is cloudy orange to light brown with a one to two finger thick foam. Taste is light sweet and lght bitter. Thick mouth feel. Nice.

My Bottom Line:
Wet wheat and oranges whip up lots of flavor in this otherwise sugar-heavy Weissbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the cloudy pale orange amber.
-Mouthfeel appears limp because of the excessive wheat and residual sugars.
-Carbonation is lower than usual for the style, which probably exacerbates the impression of sweetness.
-The usual esters and phenols are stealing the show in this one. A nice change of pace for the style.

On tap at the brewpub.

Bananiger, etwas muffiger Antrunk. Wenig würzig, milde unpassende Bitterkeit. Laffer Ausklang. Naja... 11/8/7/8//8

Tapped. Proper weiss beer, but if you have nothing to compare. Appeared orange body with thin white head which had dissapeared somewhere in the middle. Aroma - classic - banana, wheat, not very impressive and a bit sour. Tastes classic as well, medium body, slightly sweet and a bit sour, taste is not very stable and was dissapointing to the end. Finish is abrupt.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy, deeper orange-gold colored body with a two finger-width, foamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is clove spice and light banana notes with a lightly sweetened wheat backing. A bit grainy with hints of citrus. Flavor is similar. Light wheat malt sweetness, some citrus, a bit of a clove spice, grain, and touches of banana. Finishes clean, very lightly spiced, and a bit fruity before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium-light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent hefe. A tad thinner than I’d like, but this has a nice flavor. Easy drinking and enjoyable enough.

Cloudy deep orange beer, creamy off-white to yellowish head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, some citrus, herbal touch, little sourish. MF: good carbon, medium body, bit watery texture. Taste: citric start, pretty sour, wheaty, lemon, little bit of banana, sweet malts, little bready, sourish, is it infected? If so, I don’t mind it too much, it works for me. Aftertaste: fruity, peaches and apricots, sour plums, hint of banana.

On tap at the Brauhaus - 27/04/12. Dark amber/orange in colour with a decent creamy head. Sweetish malt and banana on the nose. Sweet malt, a little butter, banana and a pinch of cloves. Medium carbonation - decent Weizen on a hot day!
