Just missed the mark for me. Smooth but odd taste on the palate. Didn't quite hit the apple flavor I was looking for either.

Clear amber color. Not much head. Light apple aroma. Tastes like an apple infused, cream ale. Loads of Apple with a backbone of pale malt. Lightish body. Sweet, tart, apple. An interesting apple beer.

Bottle shared with John. 5K backlog. Pours semi-cloudy gold. No head. Nose and taste of cheap apple cider, McIntosh, light cream, apple sauce and ripe banana peel. Not very good. Lighter than medium body. Capa (3617) - DC, Washington DC, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Slight hazy copper. Sweet, caramel, apple in the aroma. Watery body. Flavor is light beer, heavier cider. Sweet, apple, light caramel in the flavor with a bit of malt. I’ve homebrewed a cider/beer hybrid before and was excited for this. Did not meet my expectations. Pastor (799) - Skowhegan, Maine, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Is it a cider or a beer? Not a bad hybred brew great apple flavor, nice carbonation and a good amount of sweetness from the malts. I liked it, and it was a fun beer to drink

Aroma is sweet, ripe apples. Taste is really sticky sweet... not as much as a cider, but still a bit too much. This is mainly apple with a very mild bread undertone. Palate is dry and sweet, a bit too sticky for my taste. beerbaaron (1997) - Arizona, USA - NOV 8, 2012
ok, some apple cider, some tart aftertaste. mild flavor, light to medium body. interesting. worth a taste DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours amber straw color with minimal head and heavy carbonation. Nose is earthy apple, pale malt. Tastes dry, with notes of earthy apple, pale malt, and a very tart finish. starewich (170) - - OCT 11, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2012 Each sip is fizz, then apple, then a nice toasty warmth. Base seems pretty standard cream ale. Decent seasonal, essentially apple cider with a bready touch. fidelis83 (2535) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Pours a pale, peach-gold with a tall, creamy eggshell head that has great retention and leaves very nice lacing. Aroma is apple juice, cereal grain, toasty malt, buttery toffee, toasted nuts, light vegetal notes and some woody notes. Flavor is tart apple, toasty grain, bready yeast, overripe apple, light mineral notes and young cider sourness (malic acid?), a touch of citrus hops and hay. Palate is light bodied, fairly dry throughout and has a huge, blanketing, slightly sharp carbonation, which compliments the apple side of things well. I liked this stuff well enough, but the flavors and aromas don’t blend as well as they could have, the tartness with the slightly buttery notes really don’t work that well for me. It does look really nice and the palate is very good with the apple components it just doesn’t fit well with the buttery beer notes.
