My goal in building the recipe for Fallen Apple was to create a seasonal specialty that was in and of itself a celebration. I start with fresh-pressed cider from early harvest apples we get from Kickapoo Orchards in Gays Mills. Fermentation leaves the cider tart and champagne-like. I then brew a cream ale designed to put some sweetness and body back into the beer, which rounds out the sour apple notes. This combination of ethereal apple flavor grounded in an everymans beer makes for a festive and potent brew.

A pleasent, unique apple brew that pours a straw yellow body accompanied by a small white head. Carries plenty of fresh fruit aromas and flavors. Suprisingly silky texture with a nice crisp soft hop finish.

apple juice colour with a medium white head. aroma is light apple and earthy biscuity malt. lively effervescent mouthfeel. Good tart apple flavour. The medium sweetness of the cream ale backs the apple and does help with body.

Buffed orangey copper in color with ascending bubbles filling a gray pin pricked head. Aroma revels in pencil shavings and red erasures to cover them up. Apples commingle with new gym sneakers for a synthetic aromatic agenda. Flavor comes in with such a suicidal effervescent fluff, its hard to continue. In recession is the gentle hint of vanilla lemon biscuits for the delivery of the cream ale promise. Apple butter comes through softly, as if dusted with flower as it resides between the white dusting and sweet cornbread. White grape juice aspirations butt heads with the Motts, and the body is spastic at best. The recession accentuates a watery, honey, lemon and vanilla chamomile white tea arrangement, with only a tint of apple-grape spatterings laid upon over floured honeycakes in the finish.

Bottle. At first it smells like the canned Budweiser my grandpa drank. After a bit it smells more like what it is, a cream ale with cider thrown in. Ill call this an apple shandy made with nicely tart apple juice. However the juice tastes like the stuff from concentrate not fresh cider.

Aroma was distinct tart apple cider, with little hints of the pale malt probaly used, tried to but couldnt pick up any of the off tones detected by others. Taste was a rather smooth blend of boxed childrens juice and grainey malt. Came on more like a wine cooler, the women liked it more then the men

Bottle pours gold with a white head. Aroma is sweet and tart with notes of apple cider, earth, and the slightest hint of vanilla. Flavor shows the same with a light toffee/bread malt underneath. Overall body is light and soft with a slightly tart finish.

Bottle. Aroma of spiced apples, grain and like JK and Skyview, it smelled like hair product. Pours an attractive copper/amber. Flavor is mostly grainy with a hint of tart Granny Smith apple on the finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Bottle. Poured into a tulip glass a clear golden color with a white collared head. It honestly looks like apple juice. Sweet apple cider aroma in the nose with little else, maybe some slight spice. Sweet apple flavor upfront wtih some tartness, some cherry flavors as well. This beer is pretty sweet but its decent for a fruit beer. Having had New Glarus Unplugged Apple Ale today, I would say this is an ok substitute but not as good as teh NG. Medium/light mouthfeel.

Thanks to Ricky Bobbys owner for the taste. Somehow, I remember your dogs name, but not yours. Pours a light grain color. Aroma is strong grain and sweet apple concentrate. Flavor is more of the same. Strong grain and euro hops with a concentrated apple juice flavor added. Fun beer to try. Thanks!
