I liked the looks of this brew - clear copper body with creamy ecru head - but after that it fell apart for me. It has a soft malty aroma with apples that don’t seem quite ripe. The flavor begins with a bready malt, but is soon overrun by a soured apple flavor that seems off. Mildly sastringent finish that cries out for a mouthwash. I’ve enjoyed this brewery’s other offerings, but this doesn’t seem quite right.FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 10, 2010

Sampled on draft at 3 Rivers 6 Pack this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a small white head that produces some lacing. The aroma was tart, fruity, citric and a bit yeasty. The flavor was tart, tangy and bitter with notes of lemon, perfume and bread. The finish was long, bitter, tart and citric. Medium body. Uninspired. cheap (5854) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2011
Found this cider beer comba at the Ba Runi. Smells a little like apple. Taste is of course apple cider with more apple than I expected. Lager beer fer sure in the background. Looks like pale lager. Borders on sweet, a little more sweetness than I expected for a cider like beer. I’m used to the dry ciders, now. Decent co2. Not bitter to say the least. Yes, just simply an apple falvored beer, not many of those out there. Finish is just plain apple lager even tho it says cream ale on the label. kenter2000 (74) - , Wisconsin, USA - NOV 16, 2013

Pours golden in color with a nice foamy dirty white head. Slightly malty aroma with a bit of apple. Not too much apple in the taste either.

Tap. Clear golden color. No head and only a small ring around the neck of the glass. Aroma is sweet and apple like. Reminds me of apple jolly ranchers. Taste is slightly tart like green apples. Fairly thin as that is all I realt get. Still reminds me of apple jolly ranchers. Could use some more carbonation. Just looks dead and lifeless. Bottle from Capone’s. Pours amber straw color with minimal head and heavy carbonation. Nose is earthy apple, pale malt. Tastes dry, with notes of earthy apple, pale malt, and a very tart finish. drpimento (3627) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Nice idea if it didn't quite work. Appearance has a tiny bit of head, no lace, copper Amber clear color. aroma is marshmallows malt and cider. Flavor is an unpleasant blend of malty beer & cider. Somehow of the body doesn't work because of that unpleasant blend.

Bottle - Pours a clear golden amber with a fluffy white head. Not a lot of apple on the nose--kind of a sugary white grape/apple mix with some lactic sourness that almost borders on rotting. Not as crisp and clean as New Glarus’s Apple Ale, and must sweeter than something like Ephemere. The taste...I gotta agree with a previous reviewer that called this apple cider with some light beer mixed in. It tastes like a blend that didn’t quite integrate. The sweet/tart of the cider hits first, with the maltiness of the cream ale in the middle, and the apple peel and tartness lingering through the finish. An interesting mix, but one that ends up not working very well. Funknmilla (745) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2014
12 oz bottle...pours an amber color small off white head...slightly sour aroma, yet clean.....the palate is thin/watery apple flavor....by the aroma I expected more
