COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
My goal in building the recipe for Fallen Apple was to create a seasonal specialty that was in and of itself a celebration. I start with fresh-pressed cider from early harvest apples we get from Kickapoo Orchards in Gays Mills. Fermentation leaves the cider tart and champagne-like. I then brew a cream ale designed to put some sweetness and body back into the beer, which rounds out the sour apple notes. This combination of ethereal apple flavor grounded in an “everyman’s” beer makes for a festive and potent brew.

Slight hazy copper. Sweet, caramel, apple in the aroma. Watery body. Flavor is light beer, heavier cider. Sweet, apple, light caramel in the flavor with a bit of malt. I’ve homebrewed a cider/beer hybrid before and was excited for this. Did not meet my expectations.

Clear amber color. Not much head. Light apple aroma. Tastes like an apple infused, cream ale. Loads of Apple with a backbone of pale malt. Lightish body. Sweet, tart, apple. An interesting apple beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice try and Interesting but apple flavor is second rate and a bit to sweet and bland.

Picked up a six-pack of 12-oz bottles at Bob McFarland Liquors in McFarland, Wisconsin. Pours a clear and crisp reddish amber brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and clean top. Aroma of a sour apple scented shampoo one would detect at any hair salon along with some caramel malt and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is better than its aroma. A good balance of caramel malt and sour apple cider with a dry biscuity aftertaste. Finish is semi-sweet at first and then a dry bready flavor that slowly disappears. An interesting fruit beer, but not over the top.

Or a fruit beer. They missed the mark on this one. It smells like a hair salon. It is a nice looking beer, resembling brandy in my snifter. Little carbonation. Flavor is light apple, hint of spice, and grain. These guys are usually solid but this beer needs some work.

12oz, no date. Clear orange with a one finger off-white head. Light apple juice and light grain make up the aroma, along with some light biscuity malts. Much more apple cider in the flavor, though, now that I think about it, there is almost a Froot Loops quality to both the flavor and aroma. Light body with a moderate smooth carbonation. I wanted to like this, but nothing came together

A pleasent, unique apple brew that pours a straw yellow body accompanied by a small white head. Carries plenty of fresh fruit aromas and flavors. Suprisingly silky texture with a nice crisp soft hop finish.
