COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Double IPA featuring local hops for extra Wisconsin-ness. We are embracing the reemergence of regional hops in this citrus forward/fruit-finishing beer. As the name implies, there is enough Cascade and Mt. Hood hops jammed into each pint to warrant breaking out the pruning shears. Luckily the big body will be enough to soothe any scrapes or scratches that the Full Thicket might inflict.

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 1-18-14. Fruity, creamy, malty, barley-wine-esque, boozy aroma features orange, muffin, cookie, biscuit, and yellow plum scents. Strong and complex; floral and perfumey smell. Pours mostly clear with some haze. Highly effervescent: Many small bubbles. Small amount of beige head. Orange brass to sable color. Nice looking beer. Salty, dry taste features light pine, tonic water, booze, and lemon flavors. Dirt dryness from the hops in the finish. Pleasant but weak flavors. Medium body. Lively in the palate. Furthermore Full Thicket is perfectly pleasant but plain and forgettable, especially for the style.

On tap at Milwaukee Brew Fest 2013. Pour is dark golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is of weak pine hops, not much else. Flavor is of pine needles, grass, earth, and orange zest. Finish is a bit spicy.

Bottle. Pours dark copper with some head. Weak aroma of piney hops. Taste is also piney, shocked this is a double IPA...or even an IPA.

Clear, orange amber. Medium frothy white head. Lots of sticky lace. Aroma is sweet, citrus, tropical, orange, peach, grapefruit. Flavor doesn’t quit live up to aroma. Flavor adds some pine. Medium body. Sharp bitternes with a long finish

Bottle. The aroma is sweet hops. The taste is hoppy, but a little metallically. A decent iipa that is not overly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear gold with lasting head and good lacing. Aroma is woody and malty, with alcohol and a spicy heat. Taste is malty, with some piney bitterness in the middle and then more lightly roasted malts in the aftertaste. Not my idea of an Imperial IPA. This is rough around the edges, but it’s drinkable. Don’t think I’d seek out another.

akoeninger (763) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 3, 2013
Pours a pale orange color. With an off white head. Light hop, pine aroma. It's like a more subdued Cascade aroma. Taste is more hops and pine than expected from the smell. Good malt balance but the hops cut through. Slightly bitter finish, full bodied. Brisk, yet woodsy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had it from a bottle. Poured a amber clear hue with swirling tornado of sediment. Stanky hop aroma and a hop sour flavor.
