Pours amber with a bit of lacing head. Lots of pepper and hops on the nose make for a very interesting scent. The taste is spicy and bitter reminiscent of a rye beer. Overall it finishes a bit weak but is a great beer and I would have lots more

Beer made with black pepper sounds too interesting not to try. It pours a cloudy medium brown color with a strong scent of malts and black pepper which continues into the taste. The pepper starts as just a hint of spice jazzing up a plain pale, but it really accumulates and warms up the sinuses. Not at all subtle but weirdly balanced. UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 I think somebody spilled the pepper shaker into my beer. Interesting aroma, nice color, and smooth initial taste, but way too much pepper. Don’t think I even finished it.
