Hazy orange coloured with a medium sized off-white head.
Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, bread and hops.
Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, bread and hops.
Dry hoppy finish.
Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a nice light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and herbs. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. yespr (48087) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 26, 2013
12 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is herbal and spiced. Light metallic, toasted caramelish and bitter. Toasted malty and caramelish into a medium dry finish. kaser (6409) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 21, 2013
Poured from draft at twisted spoke. Clear orange with foamy head. Crazy taste. Cracked pepper for sure. Honey and Carmel flavors too. Malts and hops are medium. Not bad. Weird beer jmcgavin12 (492) - Madison, USA - APR 20, 2013
Pours amber with a bit of lacing head. Lots of pepper and hops on the nose make for a very interesting scent. The taste is spicy and bitter reminiscent of a rye beer. Overall it finishes a bit weak but is a great beer and I would have lots more

Surprisingly good given that it is full of black pepper. Balanced just right so that the pepper acts as the hop, without overpowering the balance. Lemke10 (996) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Beer made with black pepper sounds too interesting not to try. It pours a cloudy medium brown color with a strong scent of malts and black pepper which continues into the taste. It does have a slightly bitter taste. Something new and interesting to try that would go well with a beef meal but not so well by itself. starewich (170) - - JAN 20, 2013
The pepper starts as just a hint of spice jazzing up a plain pale, but it really accumulates and warms up the sinuses. Not at all subtle but weirdly balanced. A tasty drink for winter if you really love pepper. It would be fantastic with a good cut of meat. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 24, 2012
this brew was tasty, but no so much that its going to be my ’go to pale’ as the label states. poured a dark beer. was very smooth. good brew. So black pepper is the ’spice’ I don’t see it. MarinEvelyn (868) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 22, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 I think somebody spilled the pepper shaker into my beer. Interesting aroma, nice color, and smooth initial taste, but way too much pepper. Don’t think I even finished it.
