I get all pepper pretty much, it overpowers everything else. Did not enjoy this but I applaud the attempt 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 8, 2012

herbal pumpkin spice / nutmeg / tree bark.
distinct powderiness of spice rub.
starchy, acerbic texture.
sour nuts and photo lab chemical finish.
strongly bitter with a sludgy body.
Thanks to GhostFace for this bottle. Cheers, Neal! Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Nose is light caramel, maybe some biscuit, and some McCormick pepper shakers. Flavor starts off with some mild malt, but pepper and more pepper really refuse to let any other aspect come through. Medium in body and not my thing. drowland (9080) - Georgia, USA - AUG 10, 2012
8/10/12. 12oz bottle thanks to cbfobes! Not clear amber pour with a nice khaki head that lasts and laces plenty. Light earthy hop presence in the aroma with some cracked pepper aspect. Plain bready malt flavor with barely a touch of hop and a definite metal twang. Eh. thomas15 (694) - Alabama, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Spicy citrus with some malt in aroma, complex and different. Hazy amber brown. Spicy pepper sweet rounded hops. Different, fun, but not my fav.

Too much black pepper in the nose and taste. I know that’s what is in it, but it’s just overwhelming for my palate. I didn’t get the hop notes that were advertised at all. I spit a 12 oz bottle with a buddy and could barely finish my portion. Unique...I’ll give it that. falco242 (398) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 12, 2012
Gold pour with a light fluffy head. Aroma is pretty lacking. Pale hops lead to a straight up black pepper flavor. Unique, prob great with steak. KajII (801) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - APR 5, 2012
Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium brown with some orange highlights and a large (2-3 finger) frothy light tan head that was fully lasting and had excellent sticky sheets of lace.
The aroma was of a mild light bread malt, a light spruce hop and a dusty earthy yeast with notes of caramel and pepper.
The taste was a little mild with a malty caramel taste at first then progressed into this malty bitter peppery flavor with a mild spicy finish. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow with the spicy pepper taste increasing as time went on.
Mouthfeel was light to medium in body with a nice dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall a well rounded brew with just the right amount of spice, which made this brew quite enjoyable...

Pours a somewhat cloudy copper with a thin, soapy white head. Aroma is mostly black pepper, some caramel malt, citrus hops, light floral and earthy notes. Flavor is again mostly black pepper, some earth spiciness, slightly sweet caramel malt, some earthy and citrus hops. Palate is light bodied with a neutral entry, off dry finish and light to medium carbonation. Not bad, really crazy amount of pepper in this one. nbondi (250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2012
Cloudy yellow-orange with very little head. Black pepper is way evident in the nose. A touch of sweetness tries to sneak in, but black pepper is pretty much all that’s going on. Surprised I didn’t sneeze. Lively carbonation, medium body. Taste is mostly mediocre pale ale with slightly spicy clean black pepper finish.
