Gravity @ Wandsworth Common Halloween Beer Festival. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny off-white head. The aroma’s of roasted malts, a bit of funky cow patch manure, some blackberry and chocolate cake. The taste is more roasted malts, general wood. Earthy forest fire and singed leaves. The finish is smooth chocolate cocoa and nutella spread. Medium body, a smooth drinker indeed. Overall, this is a pretty decent stout.

Cask, Leicester Beer Festival 2015. Near black with a cream foam. Aromas are nutty, earthy coffee with dark chocolate and weetabix. Blackberries with hedgerow and soft spices. Flavours are sweet chocolate with earthy coffee and raisin fruitiness. Some hints of melon with herbal notes. Dry on the finish. Decent.

Cask at the Le Gothique Wandsworth Beer Festival on 29 March 2012. Poured a very dark ruby, with a rocky beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and dates. Cask at The Wheatsheaf, London. Pours clear, rich red-brown with a creamy, tan head. Good, moderate roast nose, hints of dark fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with sturdy, ashy roast, burnt sugars, dirt. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with lots of ash, tobacco, cigarette ashtray. Overall so so.
