[cask at Caley Sample Room, Edinburgh] Brownish amber pour, with decent white head. Aroma is predominantly dry leather, tannin and fruity malt – together with a touch of citrus. Flavours are woody, with some light fruit, but a touch of mustiness on the finish. Still a remarkable beer – but it had been on for four days and immediately after my pint, the cask ran out. So I guess I was lucky to get some at all – but it was probably not at its best. Still, I could get the basics of what the beer was about, and will try it again if I ever see it. Great to see Fyne hit ten years of brewing cgarvieuk (24499) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 7, 2012

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Pours a copper colour with a decent white head. Very hoppy aroma of pine, passion fruit, pineapple and caramel. Huge upfront passion fruit flavour with pine, pineapple and caramel again. Mildly bitter with lingering passion fruit, alcohol and grass. Delicious. Bullit (4637) - Burgos, SPAIN - JAN 5, 2012
Cask @ Guildford Arms. Orange colour, medium white head. Nose is fruity, hoppy, zesty citrus. Flavour is hopppy, citric and grapefruit upfront, followed by creamy maltiness, little toastiness. Balanced bitter, superb drinkable. Very well done. Could drink pints of this (and did so indeed). mr_h (5535) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2012
Cask by handpump at Guildford Arms, Edinburgh - clear golden ale, very pleasant smooth drink with a strong citrus aftertase. Well worth drinking.

Cask at the Grill, Aberdeen. It pours clear amber, with a big white head. The nose is sweet raisin, leather, wood, brown bread and some floral. The taste is wood, leather, fresh hop, floral, toast, chewy malt, brown bread, leaf and a touch of alcohol warmth, with a solid bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation, good balance and dry mouth-feel. Really well done. Very drinkable.
