Half, from cask @Craft Beer Co, London. Black with a mahogny glow. Thin yellow-blond bubbley top. Cherry syrup and dark choclate on the nose. A refreshing whiff of fruity acidity. Taste has a restrained chocolatey malt character. Noticable bitterness. Weak, but genuine cherry flavored. Slick in the mouth. A certain tartness in the finish. A pretty good one. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2011
Craft Beer Co. Cask handpull. Too dark cherry too hoppy and its the hop that gives it up here. Love Fyne ales but if you want a sweetish dark cherry and dark choc beer then hops are too much for this beer. Good condition good beer. Sweet dark cherry but too much hops that dont marry with the sweetness. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 3, 2011
Cask. Dark with red highlights. Very flat in appearance with virtually no head. The nose is sweet, cherry is absolutely present. The taste is acerbic. An initial rush of cherry sweetness is then balanced with the smoky flavors of the stout. The palate is too thin for my liking watery. This is an interesting conversation piece, but I don’t like it all that much. The jekyll and hyde flavoring needs to resolved.
